  • I just replied to her to say that her purchase has incurred a selling fee for me and that's why I want her to pay. Here's the response!!!

Well I thought about that and you have my
permission to fill in a form against me. They will
pay you a fee and you will be able to re-list the
item for free. I really don't mind you doing that.
I'l prob. just close this account and open a new
one in case people start refusing seeling me
    things.
    I'm absolutely ok with this.
See this link and do what you have to do :)

So basically she's telling you to open a NPB dispute! DO IT!!

Sammy65, the fact that you were referring to BIN items with a 1 hour payment requirement is quite different to someone winning an auction! It would be odd not to pay for a BIN straight away surely!?!

If I win an auction during the day, I can't pay until I get home from work.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I fail to see what the problem is here - "Marta" doesn't want the tickets anymore. So file a NPB with eBay and relist. Why are you forcing him/her to buy the tickets when they don't want them? Yes, when you bid on eBay, it is binding, but it's clear that they won't pay up, so why waste your time and theirs? Just start the NPB thing, and get on with relisting.

Usually, if someone hasn't paid by Paypal within an hour, I relist since 99% of the time they don't want it anymore and most likely bid on multiple auctions to secure the lowest price. It also means I find a genuine bidder quicker. Not rocket science.

p.s. Sorry, having a bad day. If I come across as an !!!!!!!, I apologise.

Why don't you just go for instant payment. I don't always pay within an hour, depends what I'm doing and if I'm at a pc or on a phone.

I am allowed to use ebay during my lunch break at work, but the filters block paypal. I have bought BIN items before and paid when I get home. I usually email the seller to let them know why I haven't paid straight away, but now I'm worried I'm going to get seen as a NPB!

You are not an NPB, sellers may huff and puff but there is nothing they can do until day 7 anyway. Although the limits are being reduced soon it still will allow days rather than minutes for payment.

  • That's good news. By the way, I've relisted. I'll lose the listing costs by they'll refund final valuation. This has been my first bad buyer experience!

Chances are that some on this site have bought from me. If you're the kind of person to delay payment, then I wouldn't want you to.

I hope you have this in your T&Cs so I can genuinely avoid your sales like the plague.

I have paid for every item I have won/BIN'd on ebay within a day or 2, even when I drunkenly bid and won an auction for a vintage mercedes.

    I have 9000+ feedback,

If this is true, then you really should know better....

Since you can not open a dispute til 7 days has passed (soon to be 4 days), what do you do if the relisted item sells and the original buyer then pays?

Do you honestly believe that your T&Cs are overriding the general eBay T&Cs ?

He didn't say the 9000+ were positive. Ebay will love the repeat listing fees.
