And is telling me to relist.
Here is her latest email:
Hi,
well I don't see why should you sell the tickets
to someone who doesn't want them anymore instead
of re-list them and sell them to someone who
wants.
I think you should think about it and tell me if
you think that's the right thing to do.
I can buy them anyway and sell them at the door
but I don't see why should you refuse to cancel
the transaction.
Think and tell me if you agree.
Thanks,
Marta
I have 100% positive feedback and don't want to get a neg but equally don't understand why this Marta woman would fail to understand the most basic premise of eBay - you bid and it's binding!
I'm sure this happens all the time but it's the first time for me and I'd appreciate any advice. Can I force her to pay without harming my rating?

Personally I would risk a neg here and go for a full NPB, this buyer is too dim to opt for the correct mutual options.
Just wait the full 7 days and then open a full NPB on here, if she negs she negs, don't be bullied. Just get that strike on her account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I fail to see what the problem is here - "Marta" doesn't want the tickets anymore. So file a NPB with eBay and relist. Why are you forcing him/her to buy the tickets when they don't want them? Yes, when you bid on eBay, it is binding, but it's clear that they won't pay up, so why waste your time and theirs? Just start the NPB thing, and get on with relisting.
Usually, if someone hasn't paid by Paypal within an hour, I relist since 99% of the time they don't want it anymore and most likely bid on multiple auctions to secure the lowest price. It also means I find a genuine bidder quicker. Not rocket science.
p.s. Sorry, having a bad day. If I come across as an !!!!!!!, I apologise.0 -
If you're feeling soft because she might be new, you could email her a link showing that bids are binding, and explain that you have incurred fees as a result of her winning. If her messages remain arrogant and snooty, slam in a NPB and give the dozy mare a strike...My TV is broken!

If I do a NPB (haven't done one before) then can she still give me neg feedback?0

If she doesn't respond to the dispute she can't neg. If she does, she can.
Don't let that put you off.My TV is broken!

You can't only give people an hour to pay, that's crazy. You expect them to just sit at their computer waiting for the auction to finish?0 -
I have 9000+ feedback, and so can state that, in my experience, there is a minority of people who won't pay, regardless of how much time you give them. The fact is that most people use Paypal now. Most of my auctions are BIN auctions. If you used the energy to BIN (Buy-It-Now, for the clueless), you can use some more energy to complete checkout and pay for it.
Some, however, buy a product and not bother paying up because of another auction (A small minority, probably 4-5% of all people). I take multiple factors into account - Your feedback score, previous feedback left by others for you etc. If you have over 30-40 feedback, I'll give you time, maybe up to a day regardless of whether it was an auction or BIN. If you have under around 20 feedback, if you haven't paid within the hour, I'll relist. Tough luck because I'll know that you're most likely wasting my time.
It's complex, but it works. All my relisted items, because of fast thinking, were bought immediately. And I didn't have to chase non-paying scum for days at a time. With me, and lots of other sellers I've talked to, if you don't pay reasonably quickly, then I won't lose any sleep over starting a NPB and selling to someone who can be bothered to show that they want the item through paying quickly. This ain't a !!!!ing charity where we'll give you days to pay up, since we have other things to do as well. If you want to take your time, go whip out your Argos catalogue and ponder for days at a time over whether you should buy an item or not or if you want to buy it later in the week.Whats your Ebay ID? So I ensure I never buy from you.
Chances are that some on this site have bought from me. If you're the kind of person to delay payment, then I wouldn't want you to.ModernSlave wrote: »If I do a NPB (haven't done one before) then can she still give me neg feedback?
If you're really worried about your 100% feedback score, just start a NPB, but select the option that "Buyer didn't want the item" > "Mutually agreed to cancel transaction". That way, less chance of a negative from him/her.0
