  • Have dd2 off, so have told her to take a job any job from the list......will have to see what happens. On the whole am still aiming for level one (and haven't acheived that yet) but will keep trying.

Got a bargain the other day, decided to buy a carpet sweeper (as sometimes can't manage the vacuum) went to argos decided I was going to get bissell carpet sweeper £11.99 when I spotted electric ewbank sweeper reduced from 29.99 to 12.99. BARGAIN!!! .:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j

Hugs, good vibes and :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: for all that need it. TTFN

  • Hi all..

My flying has been rubbish so far this week. I've been having a few health problems for the last week or so, ended up at the docs twice yesterday but now pumped full of various medications and hopefully now on the right track. Consequently I've been abit limited in what I can manage so have just done the easy bits!

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room
    Level One
    Level Two
Wipe fronts of units and large appliances
    Level Three

Tuesday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs
    Level One
Vacuum said floors.. and up the stairs.. it looks so much better when you have clear stairs
    Level Two
Wash any soft furnishings that are in need
Wipe the paintwork.. inc. the inside and out of the front door
    Level Three
Clear all the paperwork into a box or bag, clearing those cluttered surfaces
15 minutes filing.. from above box/bag if you just filled one! Elsewhere if you didn't!
Dust and deweb those corners and mantel
    Polish the glass and mirrors

    Wednesday~ Master bedroom and landing
    Level One
remake bed before you need to get in it! Air bed and duvet!
    Level Two
    Vacuum floor
    Level Three
Sort through a box of stuff or a cupboard/chest of drawers
    Dust and Deweb
    Straighten a few shelves

    its DDs 16th birthday today.

AnW'sMum - I think that's a lovely idea about the initials. How long will it take to engrave the headstone?

Happy birthday to your DD :bdaycake:

They did say that even if they have to order the stone in we might be able to get it all done and in place for Christmas, I knew the lead time could be up to 20 weeks from previous research. The people I saw yesterday seem to have a very caring approach and pride in what they do. We got my wedding box down from the loft to find the initials on the place cards so lots of nice memories as well :)
AnW'sMum well done on the stonemasson visit I hope it turns out just lovely

Thanks :) It was a positive day, although it's 3 years since DH died it's only now I feel ready to sort this. What with the inquest being almost 2 years after he died mentally it only feels like I have been preparing for this for the last 12/18 months, does that make sense?

    Morning all

    AnWs
    - the length of time and the circumstances makes perfect sense to me. I think it's a major milestone - seems you're finally being able to accept things and move on a little - if that doesn't sound too crass. Big hugs

Have been busy with admin this morning. NN just phoned and her back has gone so I'm going to push her round Asda in a wheelchair so she can get some food in. I'll also do my shopping at the same time.

Then I'm going to continue with the floorboards....
