I think I've lost the will to live !!!!!!. It's like trying to get blood from a stone.

So at the end of all this the OP just has to produce their documents and get the brake lights fixed within 7 days and take proof that it has been done to the local nick.

Well at least it has kept me amused on a wet afternoon.

The police officer has all the right to issue you a defect form . however it is at the officers discression whether they issue a fine , as said before an apology and the fact you had just had it fixed may have helped the defect form . Lights indicators etc should be checked every week . It is your responsibility.... how many times have your lightbulbs gone in your house. Bulbs can be defective and personally i would have checked they had been repaired from driving off from the garage... Finally on the point of catching "real criminals" many unreoadworthy cars are used as pool cars by criminals . and you having a defective and unroadworthy car means , .... wait for it you are breaking the law.. therefore a criminal... just takje it as a lesson learnt. you can contest it if u wish , but then you face court and the responsibility to prove it wasnt defective. or if you are unhappy go to the ipcc who will say the policeofficer was doing his job so tough titty..
ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created.

  • Degrees have certainly lost ALOT of value. Maybe Brown can answer for that one

Or mabe people taking degrees in applied criminology who then decide they don't like the police make them loose thier value? Who knows?

Anyway, OP.... would you write the exact title of the forms you have been given, including the numbers on the top? It may clear things up as to what type of ticket you have.

Do a criminology degree, then come back to me. Criminology is actually very critical about the police, believe it or not.

I'd rather not thanks, I did a law degree. Thats a propper one. You can be a lawyer when you do them. Instead of an... er.... applied criminologist... I guess?

What?? You'll be lucky, it's taken this long to get the fact he's had 2 pieces of paper given him. It'll be easter before he gets round to your stuff :)

I am insured with Barclays for legal help not sure if they will entertain this one. As I said there were two of them one who wrote the ticket in a flash and the other who was concerned about writing the prohibition order with my boot full of shopping and my disabled wife sitting next.

Yes I would say he was trying to make life easier but why pick on me in the first place.

 Possibly the clue was in your car stopping and not showing any brake lights ? you sure this isnt a troll ?
