Travel agent sold me holiday that is £600 more than quoted online

Hi,
Today, we went to book a holiday for the October school week. We were aiming for Gran Canaria but the flights weren't suitable times. The travel agent gave us many options but eventually sold us a week in Tunisia at a spa hotel with more reasonable flight times from Manchester( we live in Glasgow),
I looked up the hotel online tonight and was shocked to see that the same travel agents website were offering exactly the same holiday for £600 cheaper. We also checked a few other sites with the same result.
I am disappointed and angry. I called the agent's phoneline and they will call me back tomorrow.
What can I do?
I paid with credit card.
Thanks

Make sure you take some screen prints of this prices you found as proof! In case they try to prove you wrong and are you 100% sure everything is the same?

Yep. printed them both off. One from xxxxx Travel and the other from Thomas Cook ( it say's Airtours on our receipt)
The transfers or airport parking/Manchester hotel are not included in the webprice - but these are itemised in our receipt from today.
I'm dissapointed because we were there for three hours mulling over the options and felt that we had received excellent servicegone0 -

Would you have given them the 600 pounds if the holiday was more expensive online?
Of course not. They're perfectly entitled to offer a different price online as in the shops - after all, they 'invited you to treat' at the price and you accepted the offer. Therefore, you entered into a valid contract.
It's quite normal and common for online prices to be cheaper than in the flesh, so to speak.
Therefore -
No, you haven't been ripped off.
No, you haven't been scammed.
No, you haven't been victimised.
No, you haven't been exploited.
As you said, you spent 3 hours of their time mulling over the options and so on - time which costs money. From Poland...with love.

Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

There is no useful advice. It's very unlikely that they would offer you a refund as airline tickets are usually non-refundable in this case - although you can always check the terms and conditions to see. From Poland...with love.

If I am going to be stuck with it then I will convince myeslf it's worth the extra cost!
I will have lots of fun questioning the ethics of the travel agent tomorrow though.....gone0 -
Just see what they say tomorrow. It could of been an error on their part and if luck is on your side they will ajust the price for you but in alot of cases they will not fix it.
Good luck though.
