Has anyone else received that email that is doing the rounds this morning? Ive had it forwarded from two seperate friends, so im guessing some other people on here have received it. Im not one for forwarding on emails myself so i wont be doing anything from it, but looking at the history of email addresses from this email, it appears that my friends have been sending it all over the place!

FIGLEAVES IN OUTRAGEOUS CUSTOMER ABUSE PROMOTION.
The web-company figleaves recently ran a promotion whereby new cusomters were able to claim a 20 pounds discount on all new orders. The promotion code was publicly posted on the web-based "money saving expert" website. However any customer abiding by the terms and conditions and placing an order, has subsquently had their orders cancelled.
This is outrageous behavior and should NOT be tolerated. The only way to show companies like this that they can not bully people around is to make sure that they take a significant cut in existing and new orders.
So, if you are an existing figleaves customer, may I suggest that you consider shopping elsewhere, now that you know of their underhand tactics that they use. And if you were thinking about using the website, do not go anywhere near them-they are nothing but a bunch of thieving crooks.
Please forward this email to everyone in your contact list.

I believe they must remove your records if you ask them to, by law, according to the following:
What the Regulations Cover
The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 came into force on 11 December 2003 and supercedes the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999
Telecommunication network and service providers and individuals :
- use of publicly available electronic communications services for direct marketing purposes
- unsolicited direct marketing activity by telephone, by fax, by electronic mail (this means text/video/picture messaging and email) and by automated calling systems

- location data and billing data
- calling or connected line identification
- directories of subscribers
- the security of telecommunications services and the use of cookie type devices
