Exactly: I have a joint honours in maths and environmental science and am working as a crew member in mcdonalds lol.0 -
Also last thing, I had an interview on the Wednesday, got told I got the job on Thursday and started Saturday
How likely is it that a store that's very, very busy - according to the OP - would put a student on the tills after 1 day's induction and little opportunity to take up references ?.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Also, it's "won't" not want.
Only because of the recession.
It appears some people get off on graduates doing low level jobs, are you one of them?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Welcome to the real world. Difficult to say only having your side of it, but even if it was as bad as you make out, walking out wasn't the way to deal with it.
You're doing a job to see you through your studies, and it's the type of job that has 50 applicants for every vacancy. You are not indispensable. Jaded supervisors can take their pick and if they don't like the look of you, someone more compliant and docile will be next through the door. You are working there for money, not job satisfaction. Bite your tongue, take your pay cheque, and await the day you have a graduate position in a career of your choosing. These people are used to dealing with the lower-IQ spectrum of society who do as they are bid without answering back, not people who are going to challenge them. I'm not saying it's right, but it's reality.0 -

It's not a typo when the 'a' is the complete opposite end of the keyboard to the 'o'.
Oh, and it is "won't", so well done on making yourself look silly :rolleyes:0 -

In other words, bite the bullet and give these people the V sign when you finish your studies and no longer need to work there.
