My name is Faye and when i was young i was constantly teased as it was an unusual name in the late 70's early 80's. I used to be called Gay Faye or Faye the Gay or Faye Ray (the latter really got me mad for some reason!?!). I hated my name so much that i used to pretend my name was Claire or Michelle. I used to constantly go on to my mum for calling me such a 'horrible' name! When i asked why she called me Faye she said it was cos you can't shorten it! Nowadays though, i actually really like my name
