Hi Vivw - I'm useless on other console/computer games but really like the wii. I'd start with the tennis or the bowling to get used to the controller. I like the wii fit and plan to be back on board this week! Finding the ice hockey on the mario and sonic winter olympics very hard!

I will join in again too once I get rid of this cold and feel better.

vivw Like Dusty said just get used to the controller and games first. Have a go of different things and see what you like. Hi Dusty.

if you have the wii fit you can use the board with some of the exercises but you don't need one...I'm on the 30 day challenge
  • I love EA active, not very fit and thought it would never work but the next day I really felt it. I was brought for xmas EA active more work outs and the biggest loser!!! So will have a play then start in the New Year!!

Thanks for all the advice. I am at the moment very unfit and overweight. However in August I have my son's and my step daughter's weddings to go to thus have two weddings as my incentive to do something about the state I have let myself get into.

i got a wii for xmas :D:D:D a great surprise!!! I have some games but not wii fit - do you have to buy the board to use the game??? It all seems very expensive. I was going to join a gym in Jan (I am a walking cliche) and a game and board would be 2 months membership!!

Do I need the board?? And can anyone give any MS tips of the cheapest place to get one???

    Thanks

  • To play the Wii fit you will need a board and the game I think that they are about £60 but I may be wrong as I bought mine a year ago when they just came out.

I use mine instead of gym as I couldn't afford to go to the gym. I do step for 30 minutes while watching something on TV :D(this is when I actually do the wii :D)

I did like going to the gym, in years gone by, but the cost of petrol meant it would have cost another £5+ a month on petrol.

One of the bonus is that if you don't use the wii fit then it isn't costing a monthly fee like a gym would.

Hope that makes sense but DS is talking in my ear so must go and sort him out.

You don't need a board for the EA Active you can choose to exercise with or with out one.:j

    Hiya everyone
I'm afraid I got out of the habit of doing this when DS was ill. No excuse now especially I was given wii fit plus for Christmas. As of tomorrow I'll be doing three sessions a week on the wii and walking for an hour, six times a week! I'll record it in my signature to make sure I do it.
    Hugs to you all xx
