Hi
back again. Didn't go on the Wii fit or in fact move much of anything for 3 days. I felt so guilty! But I hopped back on today and did stuff that made my legs wobble with pain. I think I missed feeling "the burn", I'd learnt how to cheat.
Anyway I had also lost a pound since the last time I'd been on it, but I don't really believe it when it weighs me, it has a mind of it's own.
Hope everyone else has kept more active than me.0 -
Hi guys!
Back to Wii'ing tomorrow have been seriously slacking off but here's to a fresh week! Intend doing lots of sit up too wish me luck lol!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Hello everyone
I'm very excited at having got my new Wii yesterday. I have Wii Sports, Sports Resort & Wii Fit.
DH got it set up tonight & it says my BMI is 25.6. Only a fraction outside the 'ideal' but I want to lose a stone so it'll be down to 23. I feel good at that weight. It also said my Wii age is 11 years older than I actually am & I'm old enough without that thanks! I also seem to have shrunk an inch - that's a sign of getting old!!
I'm hoping that the excitement of something new, me & DH both doing it & this great thread will be enough to keep me on the straight & narrow which for me means a minimum of 1/2 an hour 5 times a week.
Good luck everyone

I am gutted! I tried hard this week exercise and diet and I have gained half a pound!! Oh well- baqck to the treadmill(or wii in this case!) Hope everyone has had better results than me this week!
Hi Murie - so many things can affect your weight, specially such a small amount. Maybe you're carrying a little more water this week? It's easy to get disheartened as I know only too well but keep at it, you'll probably find you'll suddenly lose a few lbs at once.0 -
Hi everyone.. being on my Wii today...i am  Oh always makes sandwiches for me everytime i finish.. i think he doesnt want me to loose weight.. even tho he complains about my weight, i think it is because he doesnt do anything to loose weight himself.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

Hi, well my Wii dedication has slipped a bit though I still find the muscle work tough! Overall I've lost 6lbs in a month doing it so I'm v happy. I can't see any difference in my body yet mind you, but I do feel more confident in my skin.
I must shake up my exercise a bit. I know if it's too tough I won't stick at it but if it's too easy I get bored. Does anyone have any ideas? Just to make it clear, I'm a single SAHM to a boy with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (with accompanying anxiety) so getting out with him is v difficult. Not much playing in the park or going for unstructured walks for us! I've got a couple of exercise dvds but I do get bored of them. Any new ones recommended?
morocha both of my long term relationships were exactly like this, a lot of love shown through making food for me...then "oh you could do with losing a few pounds". I think there's a link missing in their brains between cause and effect!

I have just ordered a Wii with Wii Fit Plus. I then discovered this thread and it sounds such a good idea. Once it arrives and is set up, I hope to join you all. It is meant to be a joint Christmas pressie for me and Mr Muppet so he may decide we are not using it till then. Pity as i could do with getting a bit fitter for the big day.
I just hope I am able to use it properly. Our lounge is not the biggest room in the world and there is quite a lot of big heavy furniture in it.
Really looking forward to getting started though.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Hi All - what a fun thread!
I got Wii and Wii fit last Christmas and loved it. Played every single day for a couple of months then sort of tailed off.
Got Wii fit plus a week ago and love the new features though some are a lot more difficult. I found the original marble game challenging but the first 2 levels do-able. The plus version is another thing again but great fun!
But as far as the weight bit goes, I found it a bit demoralising even though dd reassured me about the fat /muscle thing. So I've decided to just go for the training - at least for a while - and bypass the weigh-in. I'll concentrate on enjoying the routines knowing that I'm at least getting fitter. My message to that greedy wunch of bankers:
Debts another fine mess you got us into!

Hi all
I did some Wii fit this evening, 45 minutes so not bad. I did the free step but held weights at the same time and randomly moved my arms till they got tired. I did feel hotter at the end so hopefully something's going on.
I think my behind is getting firmer. Been at the Wii fit for a month now and it's the first sort of sign (apart from a bit of changeable weight) that I've been moving. So onwards and upwards! I am intrigued by the fit plus...i might ask santa!
