My thighs are really aching today so that must be the balance games - skiing I think.
Walked to and form town today in my fit flop boots - I so love them already.
I'll do some more wii fit later but for now I've got lawn to prep and grass seed to sow - still being active though. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi there! Got up a lttle earlier than usual this morning and did a pile of ironing. Dropped daughter off then did 33 (every little counts!) mins on the Wii. Took the dog for a 1 hour brisk walk again, came home did vacuuming etc then took dog for another 10 min walk (cus Mom came over and I walked her up the road when she went).
I am seriously pooped now but glad that I motivated myself (and the dog) to do it. Off to have some "me "time before they all come home. Gonna make a card thats been floating around in my head. Keep it up ladies!:T cus we are sooo "worth it!"lovin' this site!

Some new exercises introduced on the wii active today - basketball and evidently getting volleyball next time. Ended up doing it in 3 stages this morning as the phone kept ringing but I did it which is what matters definately feeling the arm ones are not as killing as at first...more tomorrow
Not going to weigh myself for a week or two as I know if it turns out I have not lost (or put on) I will lose the motivation0 -
Hi Jill
If you have unlocked the free step exercise, you can do this whilst watching the television. Just turn off the sound using the 'A' button first. If you gave your little one a piece of card or material on the floor, she could 'pretend' to be doing the step, too? Maybe if ceebeebies has something she loves you could do it then. You can choose 10/20/30 minute options.
Have fun!
Edit: you could do it in the evening, too, whilst OH watches telly, it just takes a few minutes to get onto the wii and get to the step option. Try doing this bit between programs.
Thanks for this, hadnt heard of the free step part. Hmmm better get doing some other bits to unlock it ........Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Hi JillD and welcome to the thread!!
I have two children at home with me (my son is 2 and a half and my daughter is 17 months).
I am normally able to get half an hour or so in in the mornings about half 10 when "In the Night Garden" comes on... I put the tv on in the playroom and give them a drink and some grapes or something and it gives me about half hour to go on the wii.
Saying that, my son came in yesterday while I was doing the wii active and was crawling through my legs while I was doing the leg lunges!!!
I might try doing a couple of 15 minute stints, I can usually get away with sloping off and doing something upstairs for 15 mins at a time. Main problem is that if I am in the same room as her she literally hangs off my legs, pulls my hand (come on Mummy, come on), hands me stuff all the time and if I was on the board she would be right under my feet getting trodden on!!!
I need to realise that 2 times 15 mins is worth doing, my gut reaction is to think whats the point, how can that possibly help but I know it will actually help if I do it.Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
