Well I sneaked 10 minutes of balance games and body test.
Feel I need to move on now so tomorrow I will try step or muscle strength and just do 5 minutes of games. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Message from Mrs B...
She says Hi and sends her regards to everyone. She's up to her neck in walls being knocked down at home, so she's not going to be able to pop in tonight.

We have been having sooo much fun with the Wii Fit. DD3 was hilarious, she was trying to Hula hoop, very unsuccessfully. :rotfl: :rotfl: All the time she was shouting "I know how to do it, I know how to do it!!! "
DD2 fell off the tight rope, and DD1's beaten my step count!
Ok... stats!
When I first went on it said I had a Wii Fit age of 47  I'm 41 on Saturday. But I did the body balance thing again, and then it said I had a Wii Fit age of 33much better.... so obviously I'm not setting too store by the age they give me.
I spent about 40 minutes on it today, I did the step a lot!! I got to 224 But I started with 144, so I s'pose it's not too bad for a beginner with no co-ordination! I did 257 spins on the hula hoop. And the short distance jogging, which nearly killed me!!!! I'm going to try and do that every day till it gets easier.
Hex :hello: you were right the Minnie Shattereds were all over it when we got home from piano! So I'm glad I had some time at home alone with it to set it up, and work it out.
Hiya Dusty :hello:
How's everyone this evening??

ETA : Thanks Lexus - I don't know about being a pro, but I'm having fun, which is I guess the main thing
ETA x 2 : Bloody DH has beaten my step score!!!! :mad:MMSSB Club Founder Member

Sorry but not sure where to post this.
Does anybody know if Morrisons (or any another shop come to that) is selling Wii games at bargain prices again this year? I remember last year I got my ds Mario Kart for just £15. I'm hoping to get a couple of extra games that can be used with the Wii Balance Board.0 -

Hi there
I would love to join please!
I have 3 stone to lose, I was hoping for a stone by Christmas which is 11 weeks so it might just be possible at 1-1.5 lbs a week ??
I am doing SW badly, need a kick up the backside really.
I'm 39. Will be 40 in May as will hubby, we want a big shared party and I really want to have 2 stone off by then to look nice in a party frock.
I have 3 children, 2 are at school and then a 2 year old at home.
She doesnt always sleep in the day but I should be able to give Wii Fit a go when she does sleep in the day in the week anyway.
Does anyone manage to successfully use their Wii Fit with a toddler awake ? I have Wii Sports as well, maybe between boxing and jogging that would be good without the toddler getting on the board LOL. I also have some exercise DVDs must dig those out.
My husband hogs the telly at night so thats no use.
I could set it up in the other room but there is no door so the older 2 (6 and 4) upstairs will hear the sound and want to play!! Also there are no blinds on that room's windows and it has a big bay window so the neightbours would get a right laugh! We have bought some blonds but need to paint first before hanging them. Maybe will get done before Christmas .....Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
NSDs: 3
Walk to school: 2/47
Bloater challenge: £0/0lbs0 -

I had no idea my sister was so competitive until we got the wii. We lent it to her when we went away for a week. By the time we got back she had beaten all but one of our top scores! DD2 took up the challenge the instant we got it back, though.
Yesterday managed a whole 1 1/2 minutes on the wii fit before the phone rang . It was my Mum asking if she could come over for the day. I looked around at the state of the house and came over all faint. Luckily she lives over an hour away, so I had time to do a very energetic 439 thing flingand most of the cleaning before she arrived. On the positive side, it would probably have taken me all day to get it done, otherwise:T

Hi Jill
If you have unlocked the free step exercise, you can do this whilst watching the television. Just turn off the sound using the 'A' button first. If you gave your little one a piece of card or material on the floor, she could 'pretend' to be doing the step, too? Maybe if ceebeebies has something she loves you could do it then. You can choose 10/20/30 minute options.
Have fun!
Edit: you could do it in the evening, too, whilst OH watches telly, it just takes a few minutes to get onto the wii and get to the step option. Try doing this bit between programs.0 -

Hi JillD and welcome to the thread!!
I have two children at home with me (my son is 2 and a half and my daughter is 17 months).
I am normally able to get half an hour or so in in the mornings about half 10 when "In the Night Garden" comes on... I put the tv on in the playroom and give them a drink and some grapes or something and it gives me about half hour to go on the wii.
Saying that, my son came in yesterday while I was doing the wii active and was crawling through my legs while I was doing the leg lunges!!! :rolleyes:0
