Had a glass of ale last night but otherwise have been good! Had a FAST 30 min walk today, with dog, came home, vacuumed cleaned ironed etc anf then cut the grass!! Am pleased ith myself. Completed my self inflicted pain by plucking my eyebrows!! Ouch bloody ouch!!
I have decided that I have to do something for myself each day, be it plucking my eyebrows, painting my nails- something like that. I figure if I can start to feel as is I am worth making the effort for, then I am more likely to keep the willpower strong to exercise more and eat better! Well thats my theory anyway!!
Good luck to everyone else for the rest of the weekend:T

murie - sounds like a great plan to me.

sarahshattered - saw your post on Flylady and wanted to say congrats on the weight loss. Bet you are glad you joined in now.

I am joining Valli in the excuses list, I still have achey joints from this pesty cough. I have been running once this week, plus a bit of Wii fit earlier in the week but that is it. Fingers crossed for a better week this week.

  • Thanks Hex I'm going to have Monday as my 'weigh-in' day, so I'm going to post here tomorrow, I was just bit over excited, and had to say something!! :D:o

I'm plucking up the courage to actually post my start weight... I'm not sure if I can actually bring myself to admit it out loud. No-one knows my weight. We'll see :D

I'm still booze free everyone! Last night was weird in the extreme, but even weirder was me finishing tidying the LR at 9.30 ish... never been seen before, I'm usually well in to my first bottle by then. :o

Way to go Mrs B :T that's great.

SS good luck with your weigh in let us know how it goes.

I have a busy day so far-went on another walk this morning-felt the one we done yesterday was a wee bit too easy "lets do the longer one today" says me to my DH.................oh my goodness me!! it started off straight away nearly vertical up into the woods with these HUGE wooden steps you have to try and climb-I'm quite short and my DH couldn't stop laughing at me trying to climb them-its ok for him he is nearly 6 foot:rolleyes:.

Anyway it was tough and I had to stop (a lot :o) to catch my breath but I really enjoyed it. It will be a good benchmark as my fitness progresses. It was 2.1 miles and took us just over an hour. Feel great now.

This afternoon we were at a 'baby rave' at a local hall its great fun for the wee ones and I was trying to do my best to "attempt" some dancing (just as well my DD is only 2 or she would have been mortified :D).

I want to do some Wii'ing tonight but I'll see how I feel. Have a nice Sunday and remember not too many roast tatties! :naughty::drool::drool:

i did some wii and some gardening today. my friend text to say she had done a ten mile bike ride and according to her monitor only burned 237 calories....... so i put the biscuit tin away immediately and reasoned i dont want to put so much effort into working of a couple of hob nobs. BE STRONG>

good news is i just won the sports active on ebay,,,,, i am so excited now. i will continue with the boxing and tennis until it arrives. i will then be putting the wii fit disc on ebay.

you should consider wearing a pedometer when you go shopping its amazing how far we ladies walk when wandering the aisles. i believe 2000 steps is about a mile.

Well done everyone with all your activities!!

I was awful yesterday... we went shopping to kit out the kids with warmer clothes... I didn't have breakfast before leaving and we ended up at McDonalds (gutted... I had saus and egg mcmuffin, and hash brown which cost me 11 of my total 23 weighwatchers points! I was mortified when we got back and I logged it on my tracker!)

We also had a chinese last night... I had a couple of spare ribs and half a piece of prawn toast and some chips and two sweet and sour chicken balls)... so all in all, I had a really filthy day yesterday and was really peeved with myself!!

Me and OH between us done a couple of hours on the wiifit last night tho - I held the record at 29.9 seconds for the ski slalom and then he eventually beat me with 29 seconds ... I tried so hard to beat him but couldn't... my thighs hurt today tho!! :D

When you all do the step plus, do you do it in bare feet or with socks on? reason I ask is that OH got on this last night in his socks and done really well...

lexuslass I ususally do mine in my bare feet-just because I'm a bit worried about slipping!

Dont worry about your blow out sometimes you need to and the good thing is you can work out your points so I'm sure you wont have done too much damage.!
