and what is wii fit plus?? ??? must do some research!!
Actually, it doesn't look much different to the original Wii Fit - although there are a few 'pluses' to it (in red):
Know Your Physique: Wii Fit Plus will now allow you to check and monitor 4 areas of your physique, BMI (body mass index), centre of gravity, and calories burnt during your workout you can then set your goals, against these areas. The BMI test measures your weight/height. Wii Fit Plus will take this measurement and let you know how you fair in comparison to the ideal. Once you are aware of your BMI you can set goals to reduce this measurement, by take part in the Wii Fit Plus exercises and introducing a healthier lifestyle. Your centre of gravity is measured via the Wii Fit Plus age test in which you will take on various balance in an attempt to keep your Wii Fit Plus age as close to or lower than you real age.
Train Yourself: Wii Fit Plus contains 5 training categories Aerobic Exercises, Muscle conditioning, Yoga, Balance Games and all new Training Plus. All the training categories are designed to help develop bodily balance control, burn fat, help tone and condition muscle, as well increase aerobic stamina. All these great activities offer a fun way to get fit with your family.
Wii Plus Routines: Allows you to create customised training routines, or ask your personal Wii Fit Plus trainer can create training programs for you, based on the area of your body you wish to work on - bum, hips, thighs - Wii Fit Plus will help! Not been on the Wii yet, but been to the gym - 30 minutes on treadmill and took the dog for a long walk, approx 1 hr with my sister (Murie) and my mom - we are the exercise ladies of yardley. I'll post later if I get chance to go on the Wii.0

Blimey...... I decided to move some furniture in my never ending game of "move the furniture from room to room in the hope of making space!" ANyhoo, I'm shattered now. My arms and legs ache. It was definitely over an hour and a half of sustained exercise. Although I did, as previously mentioned, eat my gourmet burger for lunch.
Yum!

Great thread, Mrs B. I think I'm pretty similar to you re weight /bmi and I'd love to join in - I really need some motivation. A stone by Christmas would be brilliant.
Mumofjusttwo, when you do free step, you can turn off the sound ('A' button I think) and just go as fast as you like. It sometimes says "stay to the rhythm" if you go so fast that it can't count. It helps if there is something tense on the telly as it makes me go faster! My target is 4000 steps in 30 minutes...but then I need a lie down and some chocolate:o0 -
:rotfl:Well I've just been on the Wii, did 15 minutes and I got a Wii age of 30! Fantastic! I'm getting younger every day -9 off my age. If only it could make me look 9yrs younger0

The never ending game of furniture shuffle continues. DH was home early from work today, so we've carried on. I am absolutely pooped now. I'm starting to ache from moving furniture by myself. My head is jangling, and I feel really frazzled. I'm going to have a big drink of water and see if that helps.MMSSB Club Founder Member

Hi everyone, just having a quick catch up. Well done to everyone so far.
I am just about to do 30 mins on the wii fit - does anyone have the personal trainer ones esp the cardio workout - been looking at that on Amazon and very tempted!
I lost 1lb at weigh in this week so going to keep it up. Good idea to take measurements though as well x xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Evening all you Wii fitters!
Never done any exercise yesterday as I hurt (a lot) from my kick[ boxing class the night before and thought I deserved a break:D
Only done about 25 mins tonight, my Wii board still isn't right and its not the batteries so I dont know what to do. Might just change the batteries anyway. Getting much better at the boxing-got my highest score yeah me!
Not working this weekend so planning on going for a nice long walk tomorrow with my DH and DD.
Have a good weekend everyone x"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
I've done a bit on wii fit this evening - annoyingly everytime I go on I get an audience of children which is not helpful. Batteries flat now so waiting for DH to sort that out and then another 5 minutes.
I was going to have a glass of wine this evening but think I'll leave it and go for 5 free days. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
