Can I just point out that I used to work for the Iceland group and regularly worked at their main offices over in Deeside and I have never known them leave things out until they have nearly de-frosted then frozen them again.
I no longer work for the group but I will stick up for them on this matter.
If you worked in main offices not in store then you wouldnt have known would you? to be fair to iceland tho - could just be the staff in that one store? lax management there perhaps? just hope its not the cause of an outbreak like some we have been hearing about on news - THAT can really damage a stores image.0 -
Now Kerry shops at Tesco's
Lets all shop at Iceland now, Tesco's is for chavsshe does quite well for being bankrupt
Every little helps as former face of Iceland Kerry Katona gets shopping delivery from TescoChrisCobra wrote: »Iceland used Kerry Katona , need i say more :E0 -

As someone who worked in store for several years I can also tell you I have NEVER come across this. Stock is moved from delivery lorry to either storage freezer or shop floor immediately, with temperature testing in between. It was all very stringent.0 -

That's why I said in my other post that I work closely with the Customer Care team although I don't actually work in Customer Care, I also said that maybe it's not heard about is because people don't complain or complain to the store and it doesn't get back to the offices if it does happen.
I would imagine that if the OP got a £5 goodwill gesture then she will have actually contacted the Customer Care department at the Deeside offices. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
The OP has a friend, who now has crawled out of the woodwork, unbidden after a number of years to speak of dodgy practices in Iceland that backs OP up...Yeh right!0

I bought a fresh Chicken from Iceland (Newton Heath) which was well within its sell by date, on opening it for the Sunday lunch I was knocked back by the stench of a rotten carcous, it stank the house out. I dont know the OP, but I do know I will never go to Iceland again.
Something was dodgy about the practices in Iceland, else my Fresh chicken would NOT have been so dodgy.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I got a dodgy chicken from Asda once so that must be Asda and Iceland people will never shop at again.... Oh and some rotten fruit from Tesco so I suppose that's them out as well.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00

Did you complain to the store or the Iceland offices about it?If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
buying frozen chicken from a glorified 'pound store' is asking for trouble.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
