Hi OP Wow 4 A levels well done. What are they in? There are several on line companies that offer free basic training. Eg Vision2Learn. So you would get a basic qualification. I think you said you are 21? Not too old I don't think for a trainee ship? Ie at a solicitors or something. Just wracking my brains for ideas.
Do you really need to live where you live. Could you move to where your OH work is? Would that be cheaper?
Best of luckI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

In Hell,
Just read this thread and wanted to say I am sorry to hear the situation you find yourself in - its not easy at any age, but especially for one so young!
Forgive me if its already been suggested, but it seems that you are having difficulty in finding any employment, have you thought of putting up a card in the local village store saying that you are willing to work? I would think that in a retirement area where older people have difficulties doing everyday tasks that the rest of us take for granted (such as shopping, collecting prescriptions, walking the dog, a bit of gardening etc) there would be a few responses if you advertised and word soon gets round. It would only cost a few pence if anything to put a card up. A few years ago when my youngest child started playgroup for a couple of hours a morning I took on a cleaning job. Within a year I was working four hours a day for about six households and ended up having to turn down work- it could work like that for you too - its got to be worth a try?
You must stay positive and keep re-reading that post from Skintchick - i think that says it all.:T
Keep us posted.Experience is the toughest teacher because she gives the test first then the lesson

i think some people here aren't reading the thread through.
firstly going bankrupt isn't something you just bite the bullet and do. Personally I think too many people do it too quickly. The OP has a lot of avenues open to her if she is just willing to see them. At 21 she is so young to be in this situation, working only 2 hours a day is obviously not going to get her out of this mess, the fact that her OH has 3 jobs suggests that there is work out there.
I wish people would stop posting so negatively I think that it scares peole off, and I wouldn't be surprised if the OP doesn't post again, however I hope that she does because I hate to see people ask for help only to be shot down.
I agree that there is a lot about the OP's post that raises questions, but we have to give her a chance to reply, you cannot assume everything.
If the OP would let us know how exactly she got into the debt, where she is based, what she does for a job, why she bought the bike, and if she clarifies if she can or cant ride it, then it would help a lot.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Ok you've all tried !!!!!footing around and the OP has given you a hundred reasons why she can't get off her !!!!!! and find a job so what's the point in wasting your time. She doesn't want to help herself so she has to go bankrupt and learn her lesson and thank goodness they've done away with debtors prisons.
I am more than happy to help those who want to be helped but the OP wants us to say it'll all be OK.0 -

I'm a fantastic friend I can assure you, but then I am only friends with the financially solvent :beer:0 -
The OP didn't say her OH was a Financial Advisor she said he worked in "finance" which could mean all sorts of jobs. She also said bankruptcy is not an option because of his work - which to me indicates he works for some public body.
All the negative comments are not helping.
The OP's self-esteem is probably so low by now she has not got the confidence to apply for jobs as she cannot face anymore knock-backs.
I would suggest a local job centre might be a place to start because as well as knowing what is available locally they will have info about all sorts of training.
Whatever has happened in the past cannot be changed but the future can and my thoughts are with her.0 -

so if your best mate/family member/oh gets themselves into financial difficulty you wash your hands of them and tell them it was their own fault and they deserve no sympathy. oh you're a cracker you are. and now you've scared the OP away with your negative comments. The whole point of this board is to help people in difficulty like I said before if you aren't going to be useful then go away and b*gger off.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
