  • Hi Teddybear,

Sorry you have had such a tough christmas.

As much as I dont like banks they can actually help sometimes, If you can get the cheques to your local branch and ask to see the manager they may be able to give you an advance or overdraft facility.

    Good luck.

Just left a note on your other thread, I would just keep calling!!

Such a bad time of year to not have money and have had all the troubles you have experienced, fingers crossed it comes through quickly. It is normally an inter branch transfer which shows by the end of the business day.

    Good luck!!

Hi every one its me again. I decided to accept the offer and fax the acceptence form the same days as recieved on Saturday 12th September, I also sent the acceptance form by special delivery and have proof they recieved it. In the letter that came with the acceptance form it clearly stated that as soon as the recieve acceptance form they will have money transferred in to my bank account. It has been nearly 2 weeks and I have recievd no money. How long should I give them to pay out before taking things further and is there any thing I can do if they do not stick to there agreement and don't payout. You see I need the money more than ever now. I have had a really bad christmas. On the week before last my house was broken in too. All my childrens christmas presents were stolen along with a lot of other things. They also managed to find and steal my bank card and have cleared my account. Leaving me no money at the moment. Natwest say im covered but they have to do a full investigation and that it will be a while before they can refund my money. I have no money now and my children have gone through a chrismas with no presents. Its also been my oldest sons birthday and I could not give him any presents as they were stolen too and I have no money to replace them. My friends have all been really good and have helped how they could and have lent us money for food. My dad has sent me a cheque but I can't cash it as im snowed in and can't get out & my husbands family have sent money cover but its a cheque in euros. Which will take ages to cash and again I can't get out to bank due to the snow. My husband works in the village and has asked for a pay advance but they say the soonest they can give us his pay in 4th January. So you see I really need this money now. To pay my bills, buy food and nappies. and to try and make it up too my children a bit. Is there any way or any thing I can do to get natwest to pay out quickly. I phoned them many times last week and explained my situation and they kept saying they would payout and that I would defernatly have money by the day before christmas eve, but I have recieved nothing. I have also sent many faxes.

Any advice would be much appreciated

    Thanks in advance

I hope you are all having a nice christmas and have a happy new year

    Hiya hun
This is very heartbreaking, so so sorry to hear of what you have been through, those ones who stolen the presents how on earth can they live with themselves??:mad:, my son had his wallet stolen 2 nights ago, but with him its a lesson he will hopefully learn, with what happened with you is a different matter when things have been stolen from your own home, so sorry about this, I am gutted for you.

I would write them a quick letter and tell them your in an urgent need for your money and was expecting this sooner rather than later "as stated on their letter/acceptance form".
Give them about 3-5 days to pay this, then if they still don't I would contact them and tell them you will have to consider taking this further, and also request for distress compensation.
Its just a suggestion but it may help.

Hope you receive this soon, fingers crossed for you.;)
