For me it has been impossible to get in touch with Ben Ryan, he is apparently the manager, I received an almost identical letter except they saying they could not accept my signature

I see, how annoying and frustrating that is!

Something not right about these, sure I was reading again elsewhere that this was the case for others also, its just not on and they are not being at all competant.

I suggest if no-one hears from them by the usual 8 weeks then, is to move on to the FOS.

  • Hi Teddybear,

I took my first letter to my local branch by hand, the clock started clicking as soon as it left my hand. I therefore let the branch process the complaint and for them to pass on all relevent documentation, I got very prompt responses this way.

I also saved the price of a stamp..

Have you contacted the Natwest PPI Customer Care Team?

Hi guys its me again another update. I recieved another letter today but its more or less the same as the first letter and is signed by the same administration person as the first one. even though I addressed the letter to Ben Ryans and insisted on a reply from Ben Ryans.

The letter I recieved today is as follows...

    Dear Mr xxxxxxxxx,

What should I do what does this letter mean. It still seems rather unclear to me, are they investigating my complaint or not. Should I write back again to ask them again to clarify whether they are investigating. I have tried to phone again today but just keep being passed around, no one seems to no whats going on and no one will let me speak to Ben Ryans. Im beginning to wonder if Ben Ryans actually exsists. what should I do any advice would be much appreciated

    thanks in advance

    Hi there

I take it they are investigating, but I would ring to make sure and with the timescale they have of 8 weeks, take it from either the date of your letter, or from when they received this, if you know when.

This must be one of their standard reponses, also if you hear nothing by the 8 weeks, move on to the FOS.;)

  • I have tried phoning thats the problem no one will talk to me or tell me any thing they just keep parsing me from person to person and each peron I speak to say sorry I can't help you and they won't let me speak to Ben Ryan. Thats why I resulted to sending a letter in the end after first letter.

Should I just wait until the 8 weeks are up then write again or should I write again now. What should I do

    Thanks

Hi Teddy bear.... Relax it is an almost identical letter to mine.

I got this letter first when I complained in writting to my branch, they said they were sending it to Ben and that I would get confirmation from their team that they have recieved my complaint within 5 days. THEN the PPI CCT send you confirmation in another standard letter that it should take approx 4 weeks to investigate your case.

So the long and the short is to wait for five days to hear confirmation from the PPI CCT, If it does not arrive write another letter to whoever you sent your first letter reminding them the clock is ticking and that you have not recieved confirmation in accordance with their complaints procedure.

    Hang in there.

I'm not even sure if Ben Ryans is a real person, don't know anyone who has met or spoken with him...LOL

Have you read my thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1976279&highlight=oldnthrifty it may help.

Also whenever you put copies of letters in your thread for your safety its best to remove any identifying info...eg your surname
