I'm quite partial to quorn sausage sandwich or bap. Fills me up as I don't generally get much protein and the sausages can be cooked the night before. If I make a chilli in the week I'll take that in to work the next day. I keep fruit, cereal and orange squash on my desk so I have no need to pop out and buy expensive lunch items. I'm also making my cups of tea using tea bags left over from a meeting but that's not strictly legit I'm sure!

Today i have chicken and stuffing (yesterdays dinner leftovers) sandwich with apple sauce, and for desert i have an apple and a banana, and i have a bottle to fill up with water

Total cost to me 0p (money saved £2.50)

Im quite excited by this, seems like a good challenge with good short term rewards :)

    Good going!! Sounds lush!!

What I reckon you should do is get a jar or piggy bank, something like that, and put the money saved in there, you'll be able to see it mounting up then and I find that quite a boost if I feel like not sticking to it.

    Good luck!

My DD gets whatever we had for dinner night before mashed up, and I buy big value packs of turkey, ham etc from netto. I then bag it up into '2 day' portions and freeze it, as I found they went off before I got half way through. Now I just have to remember to get them out the freezer the night before.

I don't have anything to heat food up with at work, but I copy Boot's pasta salads. Mix some herbs/garlic/sun dried toms with some mayo and coat the pasta in it, then add some chopped up meat and salad leaves and voila, posh salad box for a fraction of the price.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I have been making my own lunch for a couple of months now - you soon get used to it. One day last week, I didn't take any, and then I couldn't find any sandwiches I like the look of (all soggy and yuk) in the shops, so I ended up buying fresh bread and stuff to make a sandwich in back in the office - and then took the rest home to make lunch the next day!

I am hoping to take brocoli soup tomorrow - but need to find a recipe for it first as I have loads of brocoli in the fridge!
