I would go to an independant shop. I use Josh Lingerie in Kent, its a wonderful shop!
  • Just took delivery of 2 corsets I ordered from Corset Boulevard Ltd and they look fab.Very heavy, good quality and gorgeous.I have not tried them on yet as I will need an extra pair of hands for that so will try them when OH gets home from work.
I will let you know if they work.

Excellent!! all ready for tomorrow now. :j
  • Oh my!
My corsets are beautiful but the fabric is so thick and with the boning all the way round and metal bits at the front, wearing it increased my waist size by at least 3".The whwole point of them I thought was to reduce waist size.I would have to pull it in to its smallest just to be my usual size again.
I am just going to m&s in the morning to see if I can get a moulded cup multiway bra and wear that with my gok wan slicker knicker for the fitting instead. If not I will just have to have straps showing for the fitting and get the best bra I can in time for the wedding.
If I had realised underwear could be so troublesome I would have started shopping for it months ago.

  • It depends what size you are in the bra department at m&s I was in there the other day looking for a strapless bra for a top that I'm wearing to a 50th party, I couldn't find anything over a 40c! Which isn't any good for me :( So eventually found a basque type thing from simply be in natural for £17.60 here is the link

This whole thread has set me thinking. I feel a blog coming on!! And no, not nice but very very real. Holder of the record for smallest waist in the world. It was the nicest picture I could find. Didn't fancy seeing the old dear in stockings!!
