Wedding corset not arrived,dress fitting tomorrow!!!

I had issue with my underwear, half of it arrived but the bra did not and then got a phone call to say that the bra on delay at suppliers until November! Thankfully found a shop in wales which had one in stock, although I did the fitting in a black bra rather than Ivory!

Hi Like litteMadam83 asked do you think it is necessary to have a corset under a dress such as a Maggie that has a corset built in? Will just a strapless bra be enough as i don't want to be unnecessary layers under the dress?

Hi Ginder.
Maggie dresses are usually very well corseted. Some had 2-3 internal layers each with their own boning (then the outer fashion fabric and lining. 5 layers in all) so sometimes you can end up with 25+ bones. You can tell good corsetry as the bodice ususally stands up on it's own!!
If you are having an original Maggie, a bra will suffice.

My Gok Wan Sassy slip took more than 2 weeks to arrive, when I ordered from Simply Be. It also went straight back as it made very little difference, the cups didn't fit well and it wasn't long enough. Really disappointed considering the cost involved.

The first lot I ordered has just arrived,still no sign of the order I paid next day delivery on though.It is the purple one and its beautiful,a very dark purple,lovely fabric.I will have to change the ribbon though as it has the gok signature allover it.Still to try it on so I will let you know if its any good.

Just saw the pink taffetta bag attached to the tag and looked inside.Theres a very long roll of gorgeous deep purple satin 1" ribbon to swap for the pink signature one.Lovely.

Tried it all on.The slicker knicker pants I got are absolutely fab.They are comfy,pretty shape and have an all important stiff fabric panel at the front.This held in my flabby mummy tum and took me in 2 inches.I am amazed by them and have to look out my smaller size trousers from the back of the wardrobe to wear with them.
The corset is beautiful.It actually fastens all the way up the front centre with tiny hook & eyes and the modesty panel at the back is wide.I loosened it off,fastened it up the front myself and got OH to tighten up the ribbons.I think once thats done you can get it on and off yourself in future.
The fabric is strong and the boning is okay but just not strong enough to hold up big boobs.I found the boning on the chest just flopped forward once I was in it so although I love it I will be getting a steel boned industrial strength corset instead to keep my boobs where they should be.I have never worn a strapless bra or corset before and am very impressed with this one but it just isnt quite strong enough for me.
Nipping over to fairy goth mother website now to see if I can get a purple satin steel boned contraption sent fast.Hope they have one in stock in my size.

for peeps thinking of corsets these guys are great, they will make up a corset for you in any fabric, you can even send them the fabric you want to use if they dont have what you want. Email them through ebay and ask them for a quote. I found them very low priced but good

£55 for a made to measure, reducing full corset in a fabric I sent them, with modesty panel. Took about 4 weeks to get it.
