All business will move to 0844/0871 so they can keep ripping off their customers.
The BBC is changing to 0370 from 0870 later this year though.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Yes, I have been having the same problem as well this morning. My fear has been that one day it will disappear.
Perhaps we should start keeping notes of numbers that you have found through the site, so that if it ever dies, you will still have the geographical numbers.Thank you for reading this message.0 -

Even rang my 0845 waterboard last week for free.
I ring my bank, electric company, insurance company etc., in fact you name it, I will ring them free (with a free calls phone package). If I can't find a geographical number for them, then I don't ring and e-mail instead or decide they are not worth contacting !!!Thank you for reading this message.0 -
