I agree that they could check all of the ip addresses of people who register and claim, but as butterfly mentioned before, ip addresses can change and can be changed, I can reset mine just by clicking a few buttons.

Also, we have to ask if it is fair for them to disqualify on the grounds of ip addresses? My mum often comes to my house, so she uses either my computers or brings her own laptop and logs into my wireless (both my desktop and my and oh's laptops have the same ip address as they all come from the same router) therefore it would be unfair for my mum to miss out if she claimed while she was at my house using my computer/internet when her details came up? or vice versa when I am at her house using my laptop connected to her internet, which more often than not is the case as I am usually there all day with the baby? Just because the ip address is the same, it doesn't mean that the actual person claiming is not claiming for themselves.

*EDIT* Sorry, I am soooo slow, its taken me an hour to post this ha ha. I've been back and forwards seeing to baby and doing the ironing that I forgot to post it and just did so now...whoops...hope I haven't offended anyone

Yup, its very slow when using mobile broadband from 3 too grrrrr! My internet at home is so quick but the mobile broadband at my mum's is awful............I don't know how I lived without wireless broadband before

Why doesnt someone just email them and say, oh my hubby is off out to the pub, might not make it home for several hours, if at all, is it a problem for me to claim on his behalf? Then if they say yes then we know it cant be done and noone has to squabble anymore. If only wars could be sorted so easily.
