Hi all you lovely May Wedding people about 6 months to go :j

I was wondering where everyone is at with their wedding invitations?
I know that you normally send them out 4 months or so before the date but I was a bit worried about Christmas and didnt want them to get stuck in any back log there is with the post.

Less than 6 months now.... all the more panicked when I realise that it's 3 months since we got engaged - seems like yesterday! I suspect the rest will go as quickly!

Invites - planning to send out postal ones with our Christmas cards and hand-deliver the rest after Christmas. Will save us money but wondering if half of them will be lost in the post-Christmas tidy up !

Our problem is the number of invites - there's a lot of people that we would like to invite but can't until we know that there's room for them. If we wait until 4 months before we wouldn't have time to invite everyone. (There's a 250 people limit on the venue)
  • Less than 5 months to go now  I'm sending my invites out after christmas and then the mad panic will begin, lol. Also joining the gym after christmas ready for my wedding dress being ready mid February :D
  • I'm planning to send out my invites start of Feb, need to decide on colour theme first. My sisters are coming down to go bridesmaid dress shopping next weekend so hopefully that should decide it!
Booked photographer now, plus accomodation for wedding night & honeymoon so making progress (only been engaged a month).
Loving everyone's dresses, tried to post link to mine but won't let me as a new user

Have a good weekend everyone :D

    Hi all :hello:

Got as far as the test dress stage at Milly :T Links to dress on Landy thread if anyone's interested.

Ordered favour boxes @ 20p each :T and have enough seashell chocs to put inside the boxes (long dates - I checked) from Aldi. We have the mirror plates for centrepieces and seashells (real ones!) for table confetti.

Deposit on the cake has been paid. (Sweet Art cakes) They are doing me a three tier vanilla sponge to feed 120, piped with pearls, stacked, with rose decoration for £139. :D

What are you all having as your table names? I'm struggling for originality? Saw someone with Reindeer names! cute! (christmas wedding obv!)

Arghh!!! <insert headless chicken smilie> :D People keep "helpfully" saying once christmas is over it will soon be here..

jamtart6: We have wooden yachts (seaside theme) for our table names, we have them (from RNLI) but are now struggling whether to name them or give them numbers..
