May 2010 weddings!

May 30th for me. Decided on Bank holiday Sunday so that we could have all the advantages of not being on a Saturday, whilst allowing everyone a lie-in the following day!

Got my amazing dress from Brides By Appointment near Telford (Barnados - highly recommended)
Got a fab jazz band (played for MOH & me on one of our early dates)
Bridesmaid dresses turned up from Light In The Box on Wednesday (minor alterations only, they're fab)
Mum is doing the cake (she's so excited)
Car & Photographer(s) sorted (wonderful friends from church)
Church sorted (on the small side, but it's home, we can all squeeze in)
Haidresser booked (another wonderful friend)
Venue booked (just need to organise the catering...)
Invitations & Favours part finished on the floor in my lounge - halfway there.

7 months today!

I am gettng Married May 1st!

So far I have

*Booked and paid for the Church
*Booked and paid Reception Venue including food
*Ordered and paid for my Wedding Dress
*Ordered one bridemaid Dress for dd (other bridesmaid is paying for her own)
*Sorted Transport to church
*Not having a professional photographer but my brother is a photo student and has agreed to do it
*Booked hair and make up

I was a bit worried I was falling behind but it looks so much more when you write it down :-)

7 months today!

YAY - a date twin!! You have done LOADS!! I need to get my act together and book my hair and make up me thinks!!! Totally agreed on the long weekend, as we are going up to Scotland it's nice for everyone to be able to not have to worry about work!

LOL, thanks LittleMadam, it helps that my OH has been away for the last 4 weeks - got lots done! Still need to sort make up & hair for bridesmaids and food for 250 people (eek)
Scotland sounds like a wonderful place to get married, spent many happy holidays there. May should be just before open midgie season too.

Just over 6 months to go now.... so much to do!

Im a May 1st bride too.

Think that makes 4/5 of us now :j

Oh Yes so it does! I've just realised I need to give notice of marriage, I can be so forgetful sometimes!

We havent done this yet :eek: We moved into a new house not long ago, and we both need to find our divorce paperwork first

Now have my table decs sorted.

Chair cover samples came and now have been ordered.

Going to Birmingham tomorrow to look at wedding rings :j:j
