Serenawell - you're at about the same stage as me!
I don't really know what else I should be doing right now... too early to send out invites. The only thing I'm really worried about is the photographer. I'm going to start looking for one very soon (but not sure where to look as I don't want anything too expensive)0 -
So thats 3 may 22nd brides now? :T
So far we've:
Booked hotel & registrar
Sent out save the dates
Ordered dress
Had initial meeting with florist & hairdresser0 -
I'm getting married on 22nd of May to!!
so far i have booked the church and the reception and have sorted the photographer and the cake out0 -
yumyums - did you find a photographer yet? I have had a friend volunteer to do a video today, okay so it will be amateur but I figure better than not having one at all. :T
I am toying with the idea of making it Black Tie - but do we think that will put people off, extra expense etc... The wedding is at 4pm, hence my thinking..0 -

Hi morwenna
No photographer yet. Will start looking seriously soon. Does anyone have any recommendations for photographers in London that aren't too expensive?
I think an amateur video will have a fun feel to it! That's nice of your friend.
What do people normally wear to weddings if you don't put black tie on the invite? Or do you mean you want the full dinner jacket, evening dress etc? I'd personally like to go to a black tie wedding but that's only because I very rarely go to black tie events and it's really nice to dress up every once in a while. Not sure how other people would feel about it. Maybe ask a few of your family / friends?0 -
I'm getting married 15th May :j :j :j

Hi everyone, I am a May 2010 Bride too - May 21st to be exact! I'm so excited but I feel like i've still got so much to do! So far I have:
* Booked the Town Hall
* Booked & paid for the reception venue
* Bought my dress (thanks mum)
* Bought my Bridesmaids dresses (thanks gran)
* Organised a caterer for the evening buffet (thanks chef brother)
* Got someone to make my cake (thanks dad)
* Made my invitations
As you can see I am getting the whole family involved to keep the cost right down. We have got our hearts set on a cyprus honeymoon, so I have ordered some Tesco deals vouchers to help pay for it (£800 worth as this is the maximum limit now) and then we will need a few hundred to make up the total.
Argh it's getting so close!0 -

H2B is against it - he feels uncomfortable telling people what to wear. I know what he is saying, but I am of your thinking, the girlies would like to dress up, we get so few opportunities!
Had a play around with a mock up of my table center today, I think it's going to work well
I bought a freesia stem (silk) for 99p and wound small pearl strands around it. £1.50 for 12. I bought a floralight for £1.99 in blue, buried it in those glass pebble things and filled a 25cm narrow vase with water. It all looks pretty good, the floralight makes the whole vase shine blue IYKWIM, I think these will look good as centrepieces as the floralight lasts for up to 48hrs so plenty of time unlike candles which won't last that long. Just a bit of on the day set up but maybe a friend could help0 -
