I decided to spoil my Mum with a bunch of flowers delivered to her on mothers day :) I'm making sure my landline is off the hook and don't answer either my or DH's mobiles!! :rotfl: as no doubt she will yell at me for doing it, but wanted to show her how much I appreciate everything she does for me, she can yell at me when I go down in 2 weeks!! hehe

I think for MIL we're just getting cheap box of chocs and a card, DH doesn't get on too well with her *shrug* so he was happy to let me treat mine :)

Homemade cake? :) My mum's getting some perfume I bought in the boots sale (I'm feeling really organised this year) :D But normally they just get invited over for dinner and get some flowers - I always forget the card!

    Morning Stacey

Well done with the veg, I made a start on mine at the weekend too :)
Are the strawberries from seed or plants? If they are from seed the best thing to do is when you start seeing the flowers (will be during the summer) pull them off as the plants are still growing, so if they start producing strawberries the plants don't do so well, next year you'll have loads of strawberries :) It was a tip my Dad gave me as he's been growing strawberries since he was a boy as my Grandad used to grow them too :)
I've now got pea's, blackberries and rhubarb too :D But I can't touch the rhubarb or blackberry (if it lives this time) till next year :o

Good to know the sunshine has gone somewhere, we've got clouds up here :o
Hope you have a nice day

  • Bevan Im from the north too Yorkshire. The sun keeps playing peek a boo here Im just hoping my washing dries before I get any rain.

Thank for the tip on the strawberries I hope they work out for me. I picked strawberries because there so versatile they can be used in jams cakes just as fresh fruit there easy peasy wishing us both some luck lol
