How badly are the strikes affecting post?

I am waiting on 13 items from ebay, all bought end of last week/weekend, and so far not one has turned up. I was just wondering how badly the strikes have affected the post?

  • I haven't seen any difference in all honesty. I guess it largely depends on where you live and where the items are coming from/have to go through.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
  • 1 turned up today, and that was won on Sunday!

Im in east Scotland, and not aware of any strikes near me.

Apparently its the stuff caught up in the strikes that is being delayed not new post. I received two letters from London yesterday. One took a week to come the other one day.
I don't know if its true but I caught something on the news saying Royal Mail are refusing to "reward" staff with overtime to clear the backlog so its just staying there while they deal with new post.

east of scotland should be relatively unaffected up till now.
however the Edinburgh mail centre is on strike right now so there probably wont be a lot of mail tomorrow.

We've had no problems at all, as far as I can tell. The postie's turned up every day they should have, and we're only waiting on 4 ebay items, only 1 of which we've been waiting more than a few days for (and TD started a thread about that).

Huge problems - I'm still waiting on 2 different parcels sent 1 September. At work, we've been getting post through from 3 weeks ago. My home postcode was one of the ones affected by practically every local strike so that's prolly why. Hate it.

  • I received my Barclaycard PIN today!

It was only posted January 12th.

    Seems to be situation normal.

I'm in LOndon and apparently my post code is affected by strikes, but i have not noticed any deterioration in my service. I have also not (yet) had a single 'where's my item' email.

  • I contacted my local sorting office to ask, and i had 8 parcels sitting in their depot! I have no idea how long they have been there, as no cards have been put through my door for them!

1 X letter sent to France 1st Class on the 4th of September - not arrived
2 X Ebay items posted 1st Class on the 14th of September - not arrived
1 X Ebay item sent 1st Class on the 21st of September - not arrived

Seems like it doesn't matter when the items are posted, nothing is arriving!
