How many friends do you have? Im just curious. I have 3 people who i consider my closest friends, a few that i text all the time but hardly see and then work friends.

Not too many to be honest. My wife was my best friend, but she and another person who was a very very good friend (or so I thought) had an affair, so I lost them two. I have a good mate who I see once a fortnight or so, its harder as we've got older as we both have families etc to look after. At work I have loads of mates, but only a couple of people I'd class as freinds.0

None. No-one who I talk to who isn't family (or friends of family) or a work college (and I don't see any of them out of work). Don't know how to go about changing things0

I have 3 very close friends who I've been known since I was 15
Then there are work collegues who i get on really well with and see them out of work all the time
I start Uni next week so I imagine my friend situation will change a lot then!Future Mrs Gerard Butler

Few really. Lost contact as I was the first to get married and have children. Lots of work friends but as we all work shifts it's hard to socialise. Friendly with some of the school Mums and friendly with my next door neighbour. Otherwise it's just family members we see really.Hard to be very sociable when you work full time nights with no particular shift pattern and have small kids! (Doesn't mean I wouldn't like it to change though!)
ETA: I am actually typing this with paragraphs but it won't lay it out correctly. It was doing the same the other night, I do apologise as it's hard to read a big blob of text.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
my best friend is my hubby. i've got family. but no one i'd really call close friend anymore. i see people to say hello to at school etc. but i've recently learnt that you can't trust anyone. so i prefer to keep myself to myself now.
if i need to have a good talk to anyone then it is either hubby or i write it all down. i certainly wouldn't talk to anyone about personal private stuff to anyone apart from hubby.
but having said that i'm very very happy indeed, i love my life and wouldn't change a thing. apart from maybe move to middle of no-where ( our 15 yr plan, so far 3 yrs down,lol)0 -
I'm blessed with friends! 5 best friends that I have known for 25+ years, we all know each other inside out and would do anything for each other, they are like family to me
I also have another best friend that I met when I had my first child. I've quite a few other close friends too so I'm never short of company if I want a girls night out
Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
Just want to be...Happy0 -

Like a couple of people above, I don't have friends.
My husband is my best friend and someone I can talk to about everything, I would not tell personal things to anyone other than him.
When I worked I had 'work friends' that I would chat to or have a laugh, and I say hello to neighbours, but other than that keep to ourselves, which is how we prefer it, we get on really well.
Some of the best memories of holidays are usually when we were at a nice place, chilling, having a drink/meal and a great chat.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

A psychiatrist once told me that if you think that you have more than five true friends you are either lying to yourself, or do not understand what true friendship is. At the time I was in my early twenties, and didn't really believe him. Ten years later I wholly agree with him.Gone ... or have I?0
