The thing that really [STRIKE]pis[/STRIKE] annoys me is when two lanes merge into one and instead of 'zipping' in like most people do, some people think that because they are in the lane that carrys on they have to sit glued to the car in front of them. It is especially annoying when the road has big signs saying 'use both lanes'.

Although when I had a really old battered Swift I used to love crawling next to these poeple pointing out how lovely their car was compared to mine that was covered in bumps and scratches :D Caused by the previous owner, I hasten to add.

Terry, You seem to have mellowed a bit since your 1st obnoxious post??

    keep up with the medication:rolleyes:

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Following on from this, as you're an approaching car with the right of way, but there's already someone moving around the parked car to go back on their side of road, isn't it also annoying when other drivers try and scoot in with them - so you're left waiting on the side of the road with the right of way, but then have to watch and wait as one or two extra cars pile in behind the one currently moving around the parked car.

    That one also erks me!

lol jweb, i admit to doing that. I love it if there's a pushy driver in front of me i just follow their cleared path, BUT i always say thank you to the people waiting. I find that usually the first one only ever thanks, if anyone!

lol, to be fair i can judge the width of my car, although there has been times when i've doubted myself and breathed in (like that'll help LOL). But have never misjudged, and besides, i can take a few more dents and scratches on my P reg, i just remember that when the shiny black BMW comes racing into my space

I just love them things, 4x4 bxmxwd#s, that is. They always stop when squashed.

But when will someone teach the drivers how to reverse???

Sorry beenie, but it's the "everyone else has got thro' so I will too" drivers that really get my goat:mad:

Oh i agree and i tend to judge it at the time. If i can see someone's been waiting for a few cars i'll let them through first, but if there's only one car in front of me i would probs follow him and thank the person waiting.
I think if they're waiting for one person, they'll generally let you scoot in behind too, otherwise you're flashing/gesturing them to come through and they are already stopped so flash you back and it usually ends up taking more time than me just scooting through in the first place lol!!
But definitely if i can see they've been waiting for a few mins i'd consider it "their turn".
  • ...folks passing cars parked on their side of the road will be held to blame if there is a collision.

    Are you sure about that?

In my experience it will be deemed a 50/50.

No, I'm sure, and if you manage to hit them, the local police will prosecute them as well, if they're over the white line, which they always are. Win - win

I'm absolutely sure, a relative was procecuted for this a short time ago. It was made very clear to him that he should have waited untill the road was clear to pass the parked vehicles .
