ok will do - just realised not supposed to use cooled water with new milk supposed to be hot so will make up bottles like I used to but just 2 at atime

He punched the kitchen wall when he was drunk, he wasnt angry with me, to cut a long story short, some tramp who was making racist comments to me on FB was getting some weegies to call him up and give him grief and OH being OH couldnt control his temper so punched the wall.

He has badly fractrured 2 fingers and completely snapped 2 of the hand bones in half, the docs phoned this morning and said they need to put plates and pins in his hand and everything.

Hello, back from nice day out, not read back yet. Will do so after dinner.

Glam - I saw your posts so just quick reply to you. We have upped Holly's dose of Infacol to 2 droppers full and I think it is working. Health Visitor also told us to try things for 4 or 5 days before discounting them so keep going with that if you haven't done it for long.

Another thing that helps is laying Holly across my lap on her tummy and just massaging her back down the way from neck to bottom. She seems to like this and it eases her crying sometimes. I am sure that her problem is trapped bottom wind rather than burping, but she doesn't have the same problems with feeding. If anything, I think she has been overfeeding as it seems to be a comfort to her.
Does Jack draw his legs up quickly when he is crying? If so it probably is trapped wind.

I know what you mean about wasting stuff out of the bottle, as we are now making up 180ml feeds and she is younger than Jack, but I have decided I would rather have some waste than her not have enough and end up crying for more.

I think Skinty once mentioned Cranial Osteopathy, but not sure if she did anything about it.

I have also had many people recommend Dr Browns bottles, but I wasn't sure if they would help bottom wind or just burping wind!?

Oooh yeah, Ryry always settles himself to sleep now, it's funny hearing him chatting away and banging his Dummy on the side of the cot then all of a sudden, it;s quiet :D

Fitzio - I upped the Infacol to 2 doses 2 days ago.

he does seem happy on his tummy than his back, in fact I've just put him on his back and he's started crying but is fine on his tum!

His legs tend to go rigid when he cries - in fact his whole bodygoes rigid and we struggle to wind him on our knees.

woohoo just got burps whilst on his tum :j

would they not make th milk come faster? I dont know if he could cope!

    had 10ml n bawling - great!

Not fast like the vari flow, but faster if he wants to suck harder.

You could always pick up the DrBrown bottles (and check if they will refund them if un used and the seal hasn't been broken) and try them in a week if it's still as bad.

Do you have stairs in your house? For tricky wind, baby leaning against your shoulder and walk up and down stairs, the shoogling seems to do wonders!

If all else fails, try to remember that in a years time you will be looking back, only remembering the good things and be pining for your wee tiny baby back! :rotfl:

AM, silly OH! Hope his op goes well!
