oh dear about the telling everyone! I guess there are loads of lovely positives about being in a caring community like your church sounds, I hope you were able to feel ok about everyone knowing quickly :rotfl:
It was okay - just not how I'd planned.

Tesco are dead sneaky! I'm doing my online order using their site instead of mysupermarket (because I've signed OH up so it's a different login). When I searched for lentils, it only came up with their own brand 500g bags and not the big 2kg ones. They are there but you have to search for Natco (the brand name) instead.

  • Thank you for asking weezl. TBH I feel like I'm going crazy, but OH sya that is a good thing. Usually when I'm 'out of it' I think I'm normal. I just feel like I'm losing it.

ooooh tia, nomnomnom. will you top it with chocolate too?

    xxx

course! But it will be tomorrow, too late for the tin to have cooled down tonight.
Hmm... Rocky road seems to of appeared in my freezer... Wonder how that happened...

I notice it also has a substitution of mini oreos where the digestives would be... Interesting...

I tried it last week but the chocolate didn't melt. It was tasty but a big dry mess.

Ohhh Tia.. pretty please can I have your recipe for caramel shortcake? :D

Digestive base (too lazy for actual shortbread) - digestives bashed into crumbs, some melted butter mixed in and let it set.

Caramel - 1 400g tin carnation condensed milk simmered for 3 hours in a large pan of water, do not let it boil dry and make sure the water covers the tin. The pre-made caramel isn't thick enough, the chocolate slides off.

Top with chocolate of your liking. Shop has done white, milk and dark, even marbled (white choc in one jug, milk in another and drizzle them on top to make a marbled effect).
