I first lived in the freebie/no spend board lol! Then found the family section just before we started TTC. I don't post much these days though.

Elliot's feet are size 3F, need to get them measured next week to check they haven't grown!

Meh, now halfway through his breakfast he threw it all back up over himself. Diarrhea plus not keeping anything down=doctor visit :(
Bruno - hope Elijah gets better soon. It sound like you had an eventful night....although perhaps a slight exaggeration from your DW  I can understand that it is not nice to be vomitted on but you paint a picture of such melodrama!!

Benjamin's nose continues to run like a tap and delightfully it is at its worst when he is eating  cue lots of face wiping with a flannel each meal.

We are having breakfast and I stupidly brought his strawberries out before he had finished his weetabix so he is currently refusing weetabix and shouting loudly demanding another strawberry

No Ikea or sling meet for us....a combination of snotty noses, general sleepiness and to much to do here :(

    monrin ladies.
RANT ALERT: (for my benefit only please feel free to skip!)
im angry at my OH and my phone. OH got up, fed Christopher and then went to work. 30mins later, there a pounding knock on the door. im way too asleep to realise it was the door, until another knock like someone is tryig to beat the door down. sleepily got up to find it was OH, who had forgotten key, with lectric powercode! so went and keyed that in, OH went to work (again!). back into bed, managed to get into a nice lil doze and my phone bleeped at me -- blimmin facebook status update!!!!!
so now i am fully awake while both children are still assleep!!!
i want to be still asleep!!! :(

Anyways, Bruno: poor lil Elijah. he cant be feeling good at all right now. Hope you get things sorted for him! I used Diorralyte when Katie had a bug like that to get some extra fluids and salts back into her system!
    Carla-Farla!! :)

    elle,

Are you wakey enough to have your work brain switched on?

HR may have found a window of hope for my next year's pay.

Looks like I can do all my KIT earning next month and maybe still meet the threshold for SMP.

It all seems now to rest on making 'the business case' for having me there for extra KIT days.

I wondered about trying to justify it from a staff retention perspective, ie good to hang on to me cos it costs loads of time and money to recruit.

Thing is I've no idea how HR depts quantify the cost of having to re recruit for a post...

Do you know anywhere I can look that up?

I'm hoping I could say to my manager for £600 pounds spend now you can save the dept £xxxx going forward (but worded better!)

Feel free to ignore this request if too busy/tired/trapped under Rhys etc!

    xxx

PS Hope Rhys got my PM? :D;)

Off the top of my head, I'd say the cost of advertising (often £0000s in itself!), the days and days it takes for the recruitment process, then not getting 100% from the newbie for quite a while while they get up to speed. Will think on it more and break it down for you when I'm back from the hospital later :)

    ETA: http://www.personneltoday.com/articles/2007/03/19/39718/hidden-cost-of-recruitment-tops-5000-per-new-hire.html ;)

Indeedy he did, the cheeky scamp! ;):o Says he's dictate his response for me to type soon..

*hugs* (at a distance) for Benjamin xx Does the grand clean start today? Think I might do more to the spare room later if i can get Rhys to nap..

  • Elle - the grand clean started yesterday but the living room already looks like a bomb has hit it (although at least it is clean and dust-free under all the toys!!) The windows are looking at me menacingly now

Just put Homes Under the Hammer on for Benjamin - he is happily watching it on all fours! Did I say we have proper crawling now, he only commando crawls when he is under the dining room table or he needs to move really fast!! His new trick is trying to crawl on hands and feet with straight legs :rotfl:

    Morning Ladies & Bruno.

:grouphug:, :kisses3:, & :T to whoever needs/wants them. I've not been on since Friday night so not a hope in hell of catching up! There has been a shocking amount of posts - nothing to do with Sami being back!

Looks like I missed a big love-in last night .
:iloveyou: all too! Only one of my RL friends has little babies - the rest have children similar in age to my big two - so think i'm a bit mad now. I love that I have all of these friends I can come to if I have any questions/worries/rants to get off my chest.

I found MSE looking at threads about my work. Mostly slating the staff! Then I got pregnant, found the pregnancy thread, created a new username and joined!

No sling meet/Ikea trip for me. OH booked his car in for a service today, so has taken mine, so I'm trapped at home in the rain. And i've just realised I might be at work for the next meet .

DD had her birthday sleepover on Saturday. DD and 4 friends. We went to Pizza hut - but the grownups had to sit at a seperate table to the sleepover girls, because we're not cool enough to sit with them!
Back home, they got into pyjamas to watch a couple of DVD's.
We hid upstairs watching tele til midnight, when I sent them all upstairs to watch another dvd (quietly) til they fell asleep. I fell asleep and woke up at 3.30am to hear them all still chatting!

Morning, I was reading last nights mush-fest with misty eyes, I'll just go for I love you lot lots and I'm sure I would be in a hideous mess without you keeping me sane!
I should be enjoying a mummy date to ikea right now but Ed was sick again and only just finished feeding, just waiting to see if this stays down so we can hpefully still make it to the sling meet.

Bruno I sort of get your DW last night I get like that when tired but I have got much better in the last year or so, so hopefully she will too :) I'm quite good at auto pilot sleep clean ups now. fingers crossed there's no more clean ups needed for our LOs I keep getting phantom wiffs of sick _pale_
