skinty - my LO had bad drooling about this age and it was connected with teething. The first tooth came through about a month later. Not sure about the cold sweats, however a crying session will effect her temperature. I'd suggest ashton and parsons powders, but they aren't good directly before or after a feed as it tends to make them sick. Our favourite is baby nurofen (for over 3 months) as calpol doesn't seem to take away the all the pain during the bad night times, but calpol is usually fine most of the time.
hope this helpsr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Hiya!
Only needs to go off for CB but you need the CB number you get back for the TC forms.. I thinkSeems like ages since I did it. Definitely only sent it off (and nervously waited for it back!) once.
Thanks Elle and rest of you ladies, knew you'd know what I was supposed to do. Glad that I only have to send it away once. Seems, with the strikes and everything, it might be worth sending it Special Delivery to make sure I get it back again. God knows how much that is these days but only want to do it once if its going to cost me a packet.feelinggood wrote: »Just wanted to pop in and say Hello. I'm okay, had my medication increased and will be increased again soon, hopefully then I'll be back and chatting lots. We made it to six months exclusive breastfeeding, and Toby is now having a few tastes of food. He likes toast, avocado and pear. Hope everyone is well.
Wow Feelie, 6 months is fantastic. I'm 2 weeks and 3 days in and have been considering just rubbing my nipples with a cheese grater and having done with it. I swear she is a vampire who is cunningly disguising her fangs with innocent looking gums. God, I hope I can make 6 weeks at the moment nevermind 6 months.:A

I'm sure I could find somewhere! Sorry ladies I can't keep up anymore so I just come on occasionally and search for my name to see if I should have responded to anything! I'm heading in the right direction for the sling library so woo hoo! But that and Shortington are taking up all my time!
Sling meet wise we're all good for Monday, under 1s are free over 1s are £2.50 (it's a discounted rate for us) if you say you're from the sling meet on the door they will change you the reduced rate :-) Any problems pm me or fb me or post with my name included and I should read it sooner rather than later! (Thanks for missing me Glam/Elle btw *gets all moist eyed*)
Oh and have I missed anything important?

I hear MM is no longer an Ikea virgin and and that Sami is no longer a born again virgin
Claire and Elle - it was really nice to meet you and your cute bundles on Wednesday. You're both lovely. Thank you for letting my sis come along too. She keeps talking about Charlie kissing her!!
We had a good couple of weeks away. Caitlin had her moments but on the whole has been pretty good.
She has started waking up in the night for at least one feed again and is still being really fussy on my boob, so we've changed the way we've been feeding her.
She breast feeds whenever she wants/needs it between 7pm and 10am. She seems to latch on a lot better when she's half asleep (i.e. when she's not really thinking about it) instead of bobbing on and off when she's wide awake, and then screaming when the milk doesn't come out fast enough. She has a bottle at 10am of expressed milk (or occasionally formula if I don't have enough expressed), then formula at around 1pm, 4pm and another after her bath.
I am trying to express twice a day and want to build up a decent stock of milk in the freezer so, if possible, she can have at least one bottle of breast milk a day until she is six months old.
Oh, while I was on holiday, I found a box of four 260ml Avent bottles in Tesco for £3.96. I got the last box on the shelfThe shelf tag did say reduced to clear and when I was in a different Tesco on Monday, they were £15-something still, so it may just have been that one store, but worth a look if you need some new bottles.
