Hi everyone, I'm back :) got my new wireless connection so pleased about that. Talktalk have been told to go jump!

On a serious note, people who are on my facebook list know that my mother in law had a heart attack on wednesday afternoon and is in hospital. So please pray or send some love her way please. She has a blockage in a valve to the heart which they can't seem to move so will probably need another op once she has recovered from the last op. Sorry for butting in.

    keely.

ps-baby related Elliot now enjoys little walks around the park properly now and screams his head off when I try to get him back into his pushchair!
    Sending you prayers hun x

    Hi ladies.

I wonder if I can be rude and just pop in to ask a question. Do I need to send off Kezia's birth certificate for Working Tax Credits as well as the Child Benefit? I'd like to get all the claims in at once but obviously I can only send the original to one place at a time.

Sorry not really been able to join in properly yet, I hope to soon but I've been swamped with visitors and there are just not enough hours in the day.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer

If it your first baby, then as far as I know (what it was like when I had DS1 in 2004) you couldnt apply for tax credits until the child benefit was in place, so once you get the child benefit number you just provide Tax credits with that.

I've spilled silver nitrate on my hand when I worked in the lab. It's clear like water and I didn't realise I'd done it, but it soaks into your skin. Then it reacts with light to go black, so a big dirty stain developed on my hand. It doesn't wash off and you have to just wait until it wears off through normal skin shedding.

Thanks Becles - I had just put him on my bed and stripped him down to his nappy to have some sun so that must have triggered it. The doctor said it would disappear with normal skin shredding but that it is very rare that it doesn't go.

Woo.. I am the chosen one for a breadmaker off Freecycle :D OH keeps asking about getting one so this should give him something to play with for a while :)

YAY :T I should get mine out - you can get flavoured bread mixes in LIDL for about 50p. My Dad makes cheese and onion bread

Keely - Sending love to your MIL

Dreams - I used to have a dream where a T-Rex comes over the mountains where my Dad lives and we are all in the house. The T-Rex is peering in through the window (imagine big eye and breath steaming up the next window) and we are all hiding behind the sofa, not moving cos they can't see you if you stay still. Then my Dad manages to sneak out the back door, fire up the JCB and knock the T-Rex's head off with the digger bucket :rotfl:
I had the dream loads of times :o

Fitzio - no I don't think it's Ezcema just infected skin

Just wanted to pop in and say Hello. I'm okay, had my medication increased and will be increased again soon, hopefully then I'll be back and chatting lots. We made it to six months exclusive breastfeeding, and Toby is now having a few tastes of food. He likes toast, avocado and pear. Hope everyone is well.

  • Hi,

    Not caught up.

Feelie - well done for reaching 6 months - glad to hear he's enjoying his first tastes. Hope the medication starts to help soon.

DD tired again tonight but fighting sleep.

Tried her with anchovies tonight - definitely going to be an acquired taste by everyone in this house. I made the Norwegian Fish Pie from Economy Gastronomy (posh Tuna Pasta bake)

Hugs, congrats, hope you feel better soon all round.
