Glam,
If you just took a couple of milton tablets (very small), you could just ask to borrow a washing up bowl or bucket and sterilise in that? Our steriliser took up precious space!
Don't forget the footwell directly behind his seat....
Hadn't thought of that - was planning to take the steam steriliser! Jack has his own washing up bowl which I wash the bottles in before sterilising (saves me having to clear the sink every time!) so could do that. And yes, I will be using every available footwell and crevice that my little 206 has to offer!
Is it sad that I am planning all of this but don't even know when I will need it?
Thanks Susan - I shall take the Pram and my boy can sleep in that!
We almost thought Pram wouldn't fit in the car cos we only tried it on Monday when I needed it for sling meet - well OH said 'It won't go' but with my special touch we got there in the end!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hi MFD, and anyone else who was interested!
The background to the tender: I was doing some sessional work for the counselling service of a further ed. college. They have 2 full time staff and use sessional counsellors to meet periods of peak demand. I have worked for them for 4 academic years now.
Their HR dept are concerned that we weren't 'properly' on the payroll and this could cause issues. One of the solutions they suggested was to outsource the work to an external counselling agency.
The counselling service are used to me and the 3 other counsellors who usually work sessionally and would prefer to keep us if poss, so have asked us to club together and write a tender to be put to the HR dept as an alternative to the external agency.
We're all experienced counsellors, but no prior experience of tender writing, so any advice would be hugely welcomed.
TIA,
Weezl xxx

that tickled me!
Like needing your sling to go to a pram meet:rotfl:;)
Well, technically I don't have a sling yet, I wanted to go and try ones out so I could buy one that suits me and Jack!
I have one which is like a pouch but had Jack in it today and OH said Jack didn't look very comfy!
And anyways - almost everyone had taken their prams so nerA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

The only thing is, I find that if I leave the sterilising fluid uncovered, it ends up going smelly. I don't know if that is just my combination of milk/washing up residue/milton, but it is very pongy. What about microwave bags, or the old fashioned boiling?
Could you buy nappies/wipes/formula when you get there, if you are going to be a few days? Or ask them to get them in for you, and you'll pay when you arrive?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
susan, if you're still there, how did you get alice's afternoon nap to be so long, did you ever use wake-to-sleep or any other technique?

I think I'll see what can fit in the car - might need a trial run!
The nappies and stuff can fit in the crevices around the pram but that's a good idea thanks!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I'm going to lie down now and see if I can shift this lingering headache.

ha - TT website adds £4.31 for delivery! Might as well buy it in Mothercare for £20 and have it now instead of £18.50 and wait!
OH is cooking!!! Well, heating up some bolgnase that I cooked and making some pasta. He always says reheating the batch cooking doesn't count as cooking when I do it but am sure it will when he does!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I need some advice please...
I had my boys in with the Childminder yesterday and as I was saying last night I am unsure about it all......
Anyway after speaking to someone today who pulled her children out of her care after a couple of 'situations' I have decided I am going to put them nursery and after school club....Trouble is I have signed the contract yesterday too, will I need to give her loads of notice or should there be some kind of cooling off period that I can go on?
