Hi,
Not caught up yet sorry.
Keeping in touch days are now down the pan. There is 'no business case' for me to go in to work for 8 days within an almost 2 and a half year period.
Further, the work I have done whilst being away (almost 2 days of deleting nearly 1000 work related emails so my account doesn't jam and crash, and responding to various tasks which people in my dept have asked me to do while on leave) is not to be honoured and paid for.
Really unsure what this volte face is caused by, and feel vulnerable and insecure about my position in my workplace.
This has been lurking for a while and distracting me from joining in with you all so I thought I'd better explain.
Sorry if I can't be around and be myself for a little while.
Love to you all:A, Weezl x:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

Sorry to hear about the sudden change of mind on the KIT days. Although they're probably allowed too, it's not very nice that they said you could and then changed their minds.
However the work you have done I can't see how they think they can get away with not paying you. What you describe that you've done is exactly the kind of thing KIT days were created for - so you could do those little necessary things without it affecting your maternity pay.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Yes - we do spearate porridge for Alice with EBM so make it on Saturdays (because we have egg for breakfast on Saturdays so aren't making porridge for ourselves) and freeze it for through the week.Buttonmoons wrote: »We went over to the pub for lunch and it was terrible! my burger was incinerated, I mean black black crusty black! So was Ellie's burger, my mums gammon was chargrilled and so was her pineapple! The manager apologised and we weren't charged for those meals and got a discount on the rest so, I was £5, for Keira's meal (which she barely touched) an ice cream for her, a fruit shoots and a pint of diet coke. Not bad!!
Oh and I had eaten all the chips and salad off my plate, so I got fed too, kinda! Hehe
weezl - HUGE hugs. does that mean your enhanced maternity pay is completely boogered?

thanks for all the hugs. I love you all very much. x
yep I think it does. I also discovered that someone has finally actioned a payment for some extra work I did back in Jan/Feb. Sounds good eh? yes, but it puts me into the category for very minimal SMP rather than full wack MA.
So today I gained £100 and lost ten grand.
Feel a bit shaky.
I know we are so lucky to have health, each other, Fergus and bump. But still- what a horrid day.
