Not really doing a theme as such. I know she would love a HSM room, but I also know that it is a phase and everything would need replaced next year, so I am not doing it !!
Girlie pink and purple with fluffy things is the way we are going !!

She's my mini me, funny cause I think she looks like OH, he is half asian so you can see some qualities of that in her, like the almond shaped eyes, but she has my colouring lips, eyebrows and eye colour! Poor thing is gonna be a hairy leper like me too.

I am glad you do!! I think me and my mom are BSL snobs!! I am not convinced that it is really any more difficult than Makaton (thanks for the spelling!) especially for the limited signs taught at Baby Signing...and I am equally not convinced of the need for a 'simpler' language as they get older (BSL is so simple/obvious/pictoral)

The study is looking at whether the signs for 'milk' 'more' and 'nappy' and the 'please' and 'thank you' signs stop babies from developing the words for these at an early stage...and then stop them developing supporting words later (because they are used to one sign meaning what they want to say).

The study could go either way though and will never be conclusive because you can't make the same child twice and try it a different way second time

In hindsight, yes.
If, when he was a baby, we'd know he had communication problems, Makaton babysigning from a young age would have given him a headstart. But, we didn't know until he was 18mth/2yrs.
