  • MM - I know they said give it a week but if he is much worse on this milk and there is no improvement in the next 24 hours (give it 48 in total) I would go back to the docs.

A week is a very long time in the life of a baby....and a mummy mopping up sick :(

what is the benefit, if any, of a shorter body?

Less far to the ground?? Certain extra-curricular conveniences when interacting with us tall types?

Aw scruffy I'm never constructive! Please don't leave - at least let us know your OK from time to time.

Hi Bruno - I see you lurking. How you doing? Still bad busy?

ETA - DOH obviously I mean MAD BUSY?

I am indeed mad busy - probably til next Thu or so - and sitting here in front of a movie with OH while working on my presentation for tomorrow, but I am keeping up with the thread and thanking where I feel it merited ;) so as Glam invoked my name I thought I would say hi to all! And especial thanks to the people with lovely baby pics at which I beamed and broodied. I was sad to read of various people's problems :( but there were usually lovely posts in response from wise thread regulars and I don't have much to add :( but I am reading and I will post when I have anything to say!

    Back to work!

The HV is off on holidays this weekend - wont be back till Monday

I still have some Gaviscon left and some of his old milk, so I suppose if he is still really sick, I could just change him back, bu then the other part of me thinks I should give him a couple of days to get used to the new milk !!
But yes, 7 days is a long time for a baby to be throwing up, especially when he has been doing this for over 5 x 7 days already :o
Oh god I hope this works (really wants a fingers crossed smilie :D)

MM, Rhys is on Thick and Easy for reflux. I'm not entirely convinced it works as ironically he's been less sick on plain EBM in the last few days than with stuff mixed in it, but it might be worth an ask :) It says on the tin not for children under 3 years but it's widely used in SCBUs under doctor supervision.
  • At the minute we are on Enfamil anti reflux which is widely used in the US, but only on prescription here as far as I know.
Will keep a note of that in his food diary though, and see what they say

    Thanks hun :)
