Ladies please tell me everything will be ok? Me and DH are going out on Saturday night to a cocktail party. My mum and dad were meant to be having Daniel overnight for us. Any way as my mum has swine flu and dad has to work 8am-12am (for the labour party conference in Manchester) they said to put the ILs on alert to have him. That way it gives my mum a few more days to get better. DH rang today to say they are mega happy that they are getting him overnight. Now you've all heard me rant before when he comes home 1/2 undressed not fed, I'm just worried that he'll end up not sleeping or they'll keep him up and not stick to my routine. Please tell me I'm being stupid and that he'll be fine. We don't get to go out much and I think both DH and his parents will be gutted if I decide not to go.:o

I'm fine, but I really dont like seeing him be sick, I never know if he is getting enough, he wont take any more, but I am not sure if thats cuz he doesnt need it or doesnt want it to be sick again
Lets give this till Tuesday, am going out to HV and the doctor to have a look at him. They are both being really helpful, so at least I have people looking after us :o

    hi all,

have a poorly bubba her. she has the cold that is doing the rounds, we all have it in the house so no surprise she has picked it up.

still very much off her food, but at least is taking milk. she is being sick a lot, but seems phlegm (?sp) like.

sleeping is a nightmare...she is not napping very well either. today, after getting up at 8.30am, didn't nap until 2.00pm and then she was awake by 2.30pm. she went down again around 5ish and again, awake within the half hour. i have put her down tonight just gone 9pm and she is still alseep.

looks like i might be having a nap battle as well as an evening sleep battle.

MM - sorry to hear bubs isn't well. we had gaviscon for a bit and got on okay with it thankfully. i now use cow and gate 6th month easy digestion. works okay for us at the minute.

MFD - glad to hear you liked the childminder. i said to hubby we need to start looking at what we are going to do (have a few options). i just want to win the lottery so i need not worry. i'm sure i'm not the only one :-)

    xx

^^ What she said. It's only one night, and you deserve the break. Being with the ILs won't scar him for life :p

MFD - here's hoping that you've found the right childminder. Did she make lots of fuss of Benjamin.

    xx

She did :D whilst paying lots of attention to the other little girl that she was looking after too. The girl was adorable and loved Benjamin!!

Going to see another tomorrow so keeping an open mind but he is practically placed already!!

Go, have fun, don't worry. Your parents wouldn't stick to your routine either...and even if they tried to it still wouldn't be YOUR routine IYSWIM. One night won't make much difference, he will be glad to get back to normality :D

He will be OH SO FINE!!! And they will probably learn that if you keep the baby up late, the baby keeps you up all night ;)

All the better for sleeping baby whilst you nurse your cocktail head ;)
