mine wasn't under GA, it wasn't painful at all either.
I was on a chair/bed thing with legs in stirrups, they put a speculum in and then the scope is a long thin sort of stick, it has a stream of water coming out so all you really feel is the cool water pouring out of your bits. Its slightly uncomfortable as they go through the cervix but no worse than say plucking your eyebrows.
they put the tv on for me so I could watch it - quite interesting!
you need to wear granny pants so you can put a pad on after as some water stays in there and trickles out for an hour or so after.
The worst part for me was just the embarrassment factor

eta: I'm off out now but feel free to PM and I'll reply this eve :)

Put the radio on x ;)

ime background noise/something to listen to helps a bit - although it never feels quite right when the kids aren't at home...

sorry that was really short.. I just heard the hv arrive (it had got to the point that I was wondering if she was going to turn up *rolls eyes*) although dd3 was asleep and I had just sat down to eat some lunch (lol I am just showing off - it doesn't happen that often!) I manage to get the kids to school before assembly started today too (again we are about 50/50 atm *groans*) dd3 finally provided the dirty nappy I have been waiting a week for *yipee* and I have had some time to tidy up this morning... I feel almost capable today :D

  • SB I go back to work on 2nd November but have sorted my holidays so I will only be doing 2 or 3 days until January! I am really happy to be going back and easing myself in slowly but I guess I am worried that Benjamin won't look at me ever when I do go back!!!

I go back to work on 4th November. We can hold hands and go in together:p
