I have a few weaning questions!
How much water do your babies drink? I fill Benjamins sippy cup up to 100ml but he spits tons out and still hardly ever gets it lower than 50ml.
Wouldn't be a proper post without a pooping question!! I know that this is probably related but Benjamin really seems to strain to poo. He does poo but it can be a little like rabbit droppings sometimes...do you think upping his water will be enough or perhaps a teeny bit of very diluted juice would be an option.

Not sure if i would be relevant as Rose is not weened yet so only taking milk but she would keep on drinking water till i stopped her. I would def try to up the water first and see if that helps. Does he have water with his food? Think thats when i'd try to increase it a bit. Also he might be eating more if he's thirsty tho im sure what he's eating is fine. Its all healthy xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -

good and bad news on my nephew today he has managed to put on 1LB in 3 weeks!!! however they are worried about his bloods, they have done them again and are rushing them through so we should know the full story tom. sister is very upset as she was asking questions and they wouldnt tell her anything?
as for babies eating too much sometimes erin screams for more and i think she cant possibly be hungry and she eats the lot and other times she will eat a spoon or two then leave the rest? What's for you won't go past you0 -
MFD I really wouldn't worry re the water intake as he is still BF he will get enough fluid that way but trying to encourage more water would poss help the poo situation, but like I said to HV when El was constipated I couldn't force her to drink the water. And the eating he will stop when he wants I use to always worry but my view was well if she's sick I guess shes had toooooo much but she was never sick with too much eating IYSWIM
Oh god sorry Caz I forgot about you in my previous post or did I oh well I can't remember so i'll say it again incase I didn't Congrats on the house!!Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Carla, that was what Dylan had at birth, TTN is what they call it. If that is all it is, he will be absolutely fine in 48 hours, unfortunately Dylan actually had TTN and persistent fetal circulation as well which is why he was sick for a lot longerThe two best things I have done with my life

I think jasmines about the same age as your benjamin, she hardly has any water, infact what i do is Ive made some pure apple juice ice cubes so i stick one in a bottle and put about 5oz water but she doesnt have a lot of it, in fact im wondering myself when shes gonna start having less milk cos she's still having her normal milk feeds as well as her food!
Can a baby eat too much? Benjamin just seems to continue eating until I have decided he has had enough(well I worry that he will pop!) not so much at lunchtime but this evening he ate a large portion of purreed veg (potatoes, carrots and cauliflower from a roast dinner) with rice (to bulk it out - so very carb heavy). A organix mango and apple fruit puree, half a banana and a fromage frais. I think he would have carried on if I gave him more...he then BF for 5-10 minutes about 20 mins later!!!
It is all healthy stuff but I worry that he is overeating
I cant help u with this one cos jasmine lets me know when shes had enough she just refuses to open her mouth!
Hope everyone is well (((HUGS))) to everyone who needs them.

My baby girl is 6 months old tomorrow, i feel sad!! i dont want her to grow up so quick! my little boy is starting nursery next week, it doesnt seem long ago that he was 6 month old!
Jasmine still isnt sitting on her own yet, I shouldnt be worried should I?? She can do a few seconds but i have to be there to catch her, she just keeps trying to lie down the lazy moo!! i think its cos she shuffles on her back so she knows she can get around that way!

JM I wouldn't worry about her not sitting unless of course it's bothering you in whch case chat to your HV. El was slow at everything, sitting, crawling, walking and talking so I would be so stressed if I worried about these but I don't. My attitude is they'll do things in their own time!!Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070

Mfd, if he won't have more water, try different fruit and cut down on bananas (they have bunging up properties) Prune porridge can be good for a clear out now and again... Don't worry too much about water intake while he's breastfeeding, it has all the water he needs while he's feeding on demandA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
