Hmm.. far too much mis-spent time on here probably!

Just remember the rabbit comments after weezl posted that list, hence that's what I searched for ;)

Do you have your front passenger airbag switched off, Glam? (or does your car not have one?)

Yes it does have one but I switched it off. I would rather have him in the front cos sometimes I go out on my own and wouldn't want him in the back on his own. Plus my car is a 3 door so would be a right biatch getting him in the back!

What do we think would be the best option for making up a bottle whilst out? Am thinking of a long car journey where we will just be stopping at services for breaks

    A. Putting freshly boiled water in bottle, putting bottle in Insulated bag and then making up with forumla powder 3-4hours later.

    B. Put freshly boiled water in bottle, mix forumla, put in Insulated bag and keeping warm until needed (probably 3-4hours later)

    C. Making up bottle, colling quickly and popping in the fridge to chill THEN put in Insulated bag and give it to him cold when he wants it.

    D. Be un-MSE and buy ready made formula

He will have cool milk - he's not fussed if it's warm!

So go to the open day, find out if there is positions available I could do, run home, fill in application and throw it back the next day? Good plan :) I need to go in town the day it's on anyways to return my broken DS!

Friday is the 25th - website said closing date was 30th (I think, I closed the page cos OH said, 'Why you looking at hotels?' Might think I'm treating him to a dirty weekend ;)

So you would have until at least Monday - don't rush the application. Why not fill out the basic stuff now so then you've just got the 'Why I want this job' bit left to do once you've been to Open Day

Well, funnily enough I saw one of those at the car boot a while ago that had hardly been used it was £7. OH thought it was a waste of money and talked me out of it - he was pig sick when I showed him how expensive they are!

Think we will get something like that eventually - will have a look on eBay but pram can do for now.

MM - thanks, think I might make it and cool it or just buy ready made formula.

  • http://www.bizziebaby.co.uk/index.asp heres the link angela, it costs £5 for a years membership, I've only had one thing to test so far which was a toy fire engine which had a rrp of about £15, some ladies here have had loads of stuff tho! i think they've forgot about me ive not heard anything from them in nearly 2 months!!
  • Glam, I mostly use the cartons when out and about. My changing bag always has one plus a steribottle and pair of scissors for the days when I'm in a rush! :)

    xx
  • JM Have you done a review for the engine?

Glam, we took Rose to Italy when she was 12 weeks and couldnt fly from our local airport. We had to get 5 of us there plus all the baby things in a Ford Focus. We did consider hiring a bigger car but decided against it for the expense.

We let Rose sleep in the pram too. It did lie flat and she was fine. We took the bags that you can sterlise the bottles in and also took cartons of formula ( not very mse ) but we were already asking the hotel to sterilise the bottles. I did not want to ask them to make the bottles too and it would have taken ages in a travel kettle.

We just tried to cut back or look for alternatives for some things. I have to say we managed fine and so did she. Good luck x
