Yes it does have one but I switched it off. I would rather have him in the front cos sometimes I go out on my own and wouldn't want him in the back on his own. Plus my car is a 3 door so would be a right biatch getting him in the back!

:) Just curious cos I didn't look any further into getting a switch installed to be able to switch mine off after the dealer refused to do it (wouldn't take on the liability if they did it wrong!). I put Rhys in the back of my 3dr Fiesta but am contemplating a bigger 5dr.. Going to test drive my sister's Focus next time she's up this way.

Glam, I mostly use the cartons when out and about. My changing bag always has one plus a steribottle and pair of scissors for the days when I'm in a rush! :)

    xx

Thanks - think I will go down that route especially for long car journeys when I'm having to faff about at service stations!

    Must remember scissors though!

Glam, we took Rose to Italy when she was 12 weeks and couldnt fly from our local airport. We had to get 5 of us there plus all the baby things in a Ford Focus. We did consider hiring a bigger car but decided against it for the expense.

We let Rose sleep in the pram too. It did lie flat and she was fine. We took the bags that you can sterlise the bottles in and also took cartons of formula ( not very mse ) but we were already asking the hotel to sterilise the bottles. I did not want to ask them to make the bottles too and it would have taken ages in a travel kettle.

We just tried to cut back or look for alternatives for some things. I have to say we managed fine and so did she. Good luck x

I've not seen those bags so will look out for them when I go out tomorrow. Will be staying with family so not such a big deal

I only bought my car a year ago  shoulda bought a 5dr but OH always said 3drs 'look' better which they do but aren't very practical with babies!
I'm not even sure when he needs to go in the back of the car - I like him in the front cos otherwise I'd be turning round every 2 mins to check on him
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Glam, I have one of these to keep an eye on Dylan in the back of the car ;)

    hey ladies.
i feel like typing and talking c*ap so feel free to bypass!!

    First off a lil reply....
MM -- your fotos ae gorgeous!!! you should be so proud of your beautiful babies!!!
Feelie -- chicken and sweet potatoes sounds lovely- esp the onion part. i think they are actually my fav food! :) (am jealous as my dinner was stinking tonight!! :( )
SM -- is it bcos of the depo (if i remember right!??)
ladybird -- how is work going??
weezl -- i undertsand how your feeling regarding your maternity pay. if its any consolation, atm, im livin off my maternity allowance, child benefit and child tax credits as OH has been laid off from novemeber, and not able to get something else. its not what i wanted to do at first (i wanted to put child benefit etc into LO's bank accounts for when they are older) its hard, but, were getting through it!
Elle -- yay for good bloods for little rhys!!!! :D
Caz -- yay for the house, an added benefit that the kids like it too!!! and i am sure that charlie only cried for maximum 2 mins before he was lured away by said toys!!!
Glam - i got our TT CTN bottle warmer on offer from Tesco for £10ish -- but i have two spare Avent bottle warmers (they fit the TT CTN bottles, just dont fill as much, if you want the fairies to do amlittle visit?? - we used it with Katie as didnt have enough dosh to buy the TT CTN one at the time, and it worked dandy....understand if u want to buy yourself a glossy new one!!) Also, Christopher sleeps better in his pram (mine is silver cross too) so i rekcon pram would be dandy!!
September Baby -- i did the same as you, thinking, omg! has everyone migrated - only 2 pages since i was on this morning, even asked sugar on FB if mse was down....then i realised, no! there is a new thread. wondered why i couldnt quote or reply!!!! :o
Did MrsTine fully leave!?? :( --
Glam- i would be un-mse and buy readymade!!!

so thats me caught up...sorry if i missed anyone.

my day was just truly awful. katie was an absoloute monster. i could have cried about 5 different times, then evantually did when i got home to OH. I NEED a double buggy.....chatting with 2 girls from my netmums about the ones they are selling, therefore being very mse !! :money:
Took a dandr round Toys'R'Us today to get a few ideas for Santa and Katies b'day - ya reckon spending about £160 for Crimbo is too much for a 2year old!?? considering that £80 of it would be a bike!!????

Im onto my 3rd glass of rum tonight. gonna have a sore head in mums n todds in the mornin!!

My gorgeous baby boy has been very upset today. How do you define colic???

My best friend went into labour on monday night/tuesday morn at 3am when her waters broke. She had her baby boy today at about 3.30pm after an epidural and then finally had to have a c-section. He was 5'4. my friends havent seen him yet, they have to wait 48 hours!!? He is on oxygen and has fluid in his lungs. I do not know much about babies who need extra help when they are born. I was very lucky with both mine as i had no problems delivering or throughoiut my pregnancies. Her OH phoned me tonight to let me know what was happening (my OHs best friend) and, i just didnt know what to say to him, he sounded a bit down, as he hadnt even got to see his baby boy yet!!???
    Carla-Farla!! :)

Mummy to Katie (27.11.07) and Christopher (05.08.09) ♥♥
  • A new thread at 3.30pm and already too many pages for me to catch up with!!

I have a few weaning questions!

How much water do your babies drink? I fill Benjamins sippy cup up to 100ml but he spits tons out and still hardly ever gets it lower than 50ml.

Wouldn't be a proper post without a pooping question!! I know that this is probably related but Benjamin really seems to strain to poo. He does poo but it can be a little like rabbit droppings sometimes...do you think upping his water will be enough or perhaps a teeny bit of very diluted juice would be an option.

Can a baby eat too much? Benjamin just seems to continue eating until I have decided he has had enough :o (well I worry that he will pop!) not so much at lunchtime but this evening he ate a large portion of purreed veg (potatoes, carrots and cauliflower from a roast dinner) with rice (to bulk it out - so very carb heavy). A organix mango and apple fruit puree, half a banana and a fromage frais. I think he would have carried on if I gave him more...he then BF for 5-10 minutes about 20 mins later!!!
It is all healthy stuff but I worry that he is overeating :o

Hope everyone is well (((HUGS))) to everyone who needs them.
