Speaking of BF being hard... nebby question coming up.. Are any BFers in way looking forward to BF coming to an end?
I felt like I wanted to finish, or I couldn't wait to finish, when I was expressing every day. I haven't expressed since the night I said I had had enough on here and that has made life much easier.
It does mean that we are down to 3 feeds left in the freezer which will go tomorrow night and Benjamin had more formula now but TBH, when he eats tikka masala sauce and tonight he had cajun chicken sauce then I guess formula is nothing!!!
Anyway - I digress, now I don't express I feel like I could go on BF for as long as Benjamin wants. He isn't very demanding anymore so it has all calmed down loads.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Maybe it's just the "getting my body back" (to myself, I mean) thing..
My mum told me she BF me at night up to 9mths (I stopped during the day once weaning started), by which point she was pregnant with my sister who she then fed for six months... and then had had enough by then (I assume my sis had too!).0 -
Thanks all, great advise I really want to stick with it and she loves it and only lost 3oz in her first couple of days which midwife was pleased about..

I went into town and bought a dress to wear out, It's kinda similar to a bandage dress in that it holds you all in and I thought it looked really nice on me and was pleased I'd found something nice to wear out.
Until I showed OH, he told me it just makes me look fat and I better not wear it out.
I've spent the last 4hours locked away in the bedroom, and he thinks he was being helpful....now he says Im twisting what he said, you can't twist fat!0 -
Awesome news Tigs!
Remember me says they know when they're ready cos they get stroppy with the machines?I'd been meaning to ask what his EDD was..
Will the oxygen come home with you just in case?
Hi Nanc, I'm a "sort of new" mum too - Andrew's been in Special Care for the last 10 weeks, and hopefully we'll get to bring him home in the next week or two! In a way I'm looking forward to those sleepless nights, as I've been waiting for them. But I'll probably feel differently after the first one! I've been expressing for the last 9 weeks, and we've just started having success at BF today really.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I'm kind of looking forward to her being ready to stop, but I'm not going to push it on her iyswim. The week when she wouldn't feed broke my heart and I'm glad I stuck to my guns, with all these people saying that she was ready to stop - I knew it was a nursing strike, and she wasn't ready, as she stopped suddenly rather than gradually, and was ill! But I think I'll be ok when she is properly ready to stop. I hope
.
It'll be nice to be able to just go out in the evening without worrying about it (well, without worrying about not being there to BF anyway).
