I remember... Taybarns Wigan... I went last year when I was first pregnant and at the constant nausea stage... Nothing there seemed appealing to me at all, there was a lot of different varieties but not much choice, iykwim... Not like all you can eat chinese... There's only one variety (chinese) but a huuuuuuuuge choice of things... There's a place in Birmingham called Around the world in 80 dishes, it does a selection of mexican, chinese, tai, italian, and indian... All the food there is gorgeous and it is very reasonably priced too...

Mfd, Probably a bit late... But this afternoon is no good for me, lol... I think tomorrow might be out too...

Poor Aimee is not enjoying her week off school at all, she's got a terrible sore throat and a cough... I think she might be harbouring a covert uti but she won't pee on demand and our Drs really don't like you to take a sample down after 11am so we'll try again tomorrow...

Just made a pumpkin soup for lunch... have 3 more portions to freeze for next week when hubby has his teeth done too... I thought it was lovely... Aimee pulled a face and just ate the bread... <sigh>
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

*hugs* Sami.. I'm getting similar probs with Rhys when I BF him but I know that's cos he's used to thickener in his milk so plain BF is too thin for him

We're playing the not sleeping game here too.. Lots of hand chewing and whinging going on. He was rubbing his face into my shoulder but wouldn't take his dummy and go to sleep so he's on his playgym now.. watching Loose Women  :o ETA: And chatting back to the tv.. and trumping - lovely!

Gonna put in my 2p's worth and I apologise now for annoying anyone but both last time and this time I have never had any cravings, never went off any food and never had any morning sickness or any other problems really apart from a bit of heartburn this time round!

PS and I drank the same amount of tea as I always have.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

:rotfl::rotfl: I don't drink coffee (bleugh!) and rarey have tea so not sure why it was the 1st thing I thought of!?
Bails - I like the info on MIDIRS The Midwifery Digest and Association of Radical Midwives (I recommend the article about the 'food rules' on radmid if you can find it, it gives the 'reasoning' behind the rules and is reasuring to family if like me you decide to eat rare steak, sushi and runny eggs )

Bruno - why do they look even cuter when they're doing something they shouldn't be?

I went off coffee completely when I was pregnant with all three, the smell made me feel sick, but drank gallons of tea instead.

And with No.3, if it wasn't for OH making sure I ate, i'd have probably starved. I just didn't fancy anything, if I cooked something it made me not fancy it even more. But if OH cooked, although I didn't fancy it, I was ok when I ate it.

I did really fancy pate, or a chippy liver dinner - but I think that was me just wanting what I wasn't allowed. (Although I did steal a tiny piece of pate toast off DD1's christmas dinner starter. ;)

Half of my living room is now stripped - its driving me mad. The paper is coming off in about four seperate layers! I hate the prep. part of decorating.

BM - do another test. Don't keep us in suspense!

About the burden thing. I think it's probably not your 'stuff' if you see what I mean? Bacause Fergie and benjamin were so close in due date I do sometimes compare them in my mind, even now, and think 'wow!' when I hear about Benjamin's development. But I feel like it's my responsibility in our relationship to make sure that doesn't turn into unhelpful comparison.

I never feel that you talk about benjamin's development in an unhelpful way that would make anyone else feel bad, and it's brilliant to hear about the different ages children do things.

So what am I saying, um, nowt really! Just try not to worry if you can, you're brilliant and I wish you were my auntie :o:D.

Good grief that makes me sound about 9 years old :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl:

LOL I would love to be your Auntie Weezl ;):D

Mmm - I guess I talk about Benjamin a lot don't I!! But in my defence it is the parent thread so at least I am talking about him in the right place!!

I am quite a positive person though, particularly where Benjamin is concerned so I talk loads about the good stuff (which I super-reinforce with him!!) and just ignore all the crap :rotfl:

MFD do you think she is overstimulated? i dont think everyone saying there is something wrong will help your niece in anyway(sorry!) i think that she need to realise and come to terms herself, everyone has always commented on charlie but i wouldnt listen. one day i read up a few things and thats when it all clicked into place, i think if people were pushing me into things i would have blown up, remeber your baby is perfect and for someone to say something negative could have terrible effects.

Caz - nobody has said anything to niece yet. Her mum said she will talk to her if I thought there was something wrong. Not sure about the over-stimulation TBH, I haven't seen her for about 4 weeks :o
I have decided that I am going to keep out of it. If MIL and SIL think that there is something wrong they need to talk to niece without me. I don't want to be put in a position where I look like I am saying 'my baby is better than yours' IYSWIM.

Millies Mum - he just seems to be really impatient to do stuff! People tell me that boys are supposed to be lazy but nobody told Benjamin that. I am quite an encouraging mummy I guess but more than that I leave him to get on with things!! Always have done (got to to make sure I keep up with MSE!!) I am sure he learned to crawl so he could get my attention when I had left him laying in the middle of the floor!!

I am sure he will be an awful toddler - or worse, a tearaway teen!!!!
