  • So bored this morning - have no motivation to do anything! I'm blaming it on getting up at 5.30 the last two mornings

Waiting for virgin media engineer to turn up since 8am, said sometime between 8 and 12 and if I'm not in I'll be charged £10, bet I can't charge them if they don't turn up in time!:mad:

I've decided I need a job, not sure whether to start up my childminding business again or find something else. I've always worked and its getting to me now that I've not had a paid job since I left work after having DS1 over 2yrs ago. I am registered as a childminder but didn't really get a lot of work (damn economics-no-one working so no-one needed childcare)! Its supposedly picked up a bit in this area but don't know if I want the uncertainty of whether I will get any work/bring any money into the house. I applied for a job at the childrens centre back in aug but didn't get it and my maternity leave finishes the middle of nov so really thinking now what the hell to do!

Sorry for that, feels better writing it down as a starting point!:o

    glam, are you still around?

one more question re welsh school. Did you find it quite frightening to begin somewhere and not understand a word anyone was saying? Just wondering if that might be a horrible shock to fergus :o

  • Bruno maybe he has ambitions to be an andrex puppy when he grows up!

Weezl have you spoken to Janepig about welsh school? I think she is english but has children who go to welsh school, I believe her children attended a welsh speaking playgroup/mums and tots/preschool class. I can't remember exactly but you should talk to her about welsh school I think.

oh cool:D. Is it really naughty that I'm relieved it's not with OH's mum or sister? :o

Not half as relieved as I am! ;):p They wouldn't offer anyway.. MIL chooses to be called Grandma "because I am not a Nanny" (in the childcare sense)

Aww Bruno he is gorgeous. How cute. Looks like he is still feeling up for mischief even if he has been ill!

Right, shower time then shopping again. It's SIL's birthday today and she is due first baby in November. Just going to get her either voucher for nice beauty place to pamper herself with the offer of babysitting thrown in, or maybe River Island vouchers as she loves shopping and probably hasn't bought herself much since being pregnant. What would you prefer?

Also, since there are so many Mancunians on here, have you any recommendations for a hotel in Manchester? Thinking of trying to get Michael Buble tickets for next May, but I see he is only playing in Newcastle and Manchester at the MEN. I haven't been to Manchester so thought that might be nice. Is the MEN easy to access from city centre, and if so which hotels would be good. Will check Trip Advisor later but just wondered if anyone here has any inside knowledge!

    TIA. x
