Keira went to bed at 8:30 tonight yeeeey. Bit worried though! I was lying down with her having a chat and she said "A lady outside gave me money and I gave it to Cameron) he's another boy in her class. Now I know the nursery took them outside today to play in the leaves so this just adds more fact to her tale! I know 3yo's won't always tell exactly what happened but I don't see how that could of been made up? AND WHO WAS GIVING HER MONEY?!!
First thing I thought of was - is it true?!
Joshua used to make things up and I've no idea why. He once told a tale of how they'd gone outside to play at nursery but he'd got locked in the cloakroom. He claimed he was banging on the door and crying but couldn't get the teachers attention and missed the outdoor play session.
I went and spoke to the teacher the next day and it wasn't true at all. She could remember him being outside as his friend slipped getting on one of those ride on cars and bumped his knees, so Joshua sat on the bench with him and cuddled him till he felt better and she could remember thinking how cute they looked.
I later asked him if Mark's knees were ok and he told me all about the fall and cuddling him on the bench. When I said I thought he was locked in the cloakroom, he had no idea what I was talking about
Do have a word though as it will put your mind at rest. At our school we have to fill in a general form at the beginning of each year for permission to go off the school grounds for short periods of the day, but we usually get a slip home a couple of days before saying they're going to the woods to look at trees on Wednesday afternoon or whatever. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Tia,

I listed a bundle of 14 lovely things and 2 people watched it and didn't even have a go for 99p! But One little polo shirt went for a fiver!
Seperate listings does seem to be the way forward
Thanks for your help

3, I was a third time Mum but whenever I questioned his developement I was told that boys were slower and he would catch up!
Thats interesting Tara - so if i'd had Liv first, and noticed Joes delayed development, i'd have probably been told the same!
I noticed you said he was a very difficult baby - we were the opposite, he was so easy! I wondered what all the fuss was about when people complained about how hard it was having a new baby! I soon learnt when Liv arrived! :rotfl:money_maker wrote: »Can I ask, is autism linked with ceribal palsy ?? I only ask as Dylan has no eye contact with people at all, but will look at bright objects. The only thing we have been given is a new year appointment with an obsteatrician ?? to get his eyes looked at, but I didnt think he needed it as he can clearly see things, just wont make eye contact
I don't think there is a proven link - but children can show signs of both.
I'm not sure whether some early symptons are similar?but Joe was tested/looked at for CP early on, when he wasn't showing signs of walking. He finally walked alone at 18 months, which I don't think is terribly late for a boy?

Great niece is 15 weeks tomorrow and she won't meet anyones eye. I noticed that I couldn't get her to look at me when she was about 5 or 6 weeks (no matter how close I held her or tried to move into her eyeline).
SIL (nanny) has asked me to go and see niecey and GN to see what I think (because I have the most recent baby so I have more of a clue about development). If I think that there may be a problem then SIL will speak to niecey about getting GN looked at.
I feel like I have a big burden on me nowespecially as I have a baby who seems to be developing really quickly
I don't want to get into a situation where I am saying that there is something wrong with her baby IYSWIM.
Anybody with a 15 week old....they should be making eye contact and focussing on stuff shouldn't they?
Does she focus on objects? So there are no concerns with her sight?
I think lack of eye contact is a major sign of autism, but can be a thousand other things too.
I understand your 'big burden' - no body wants to be told there is something wrong with their baby - but at least if she's aware, she can ask the HV/GP for their opinion.
After Joe was diagnosed, I lost count of the number of people who said they'd suspected there was something wrong from an early age, but didn't like to say!:beer:0 -

is that why they are changing the name then?
I hate seeing him like this! Took 30ml at 11.30pm, then 120ml at 3am, 90ml at 5am and woke me up at 8am but has only taken 40ml. Gonna give it a week on this milk but if nothing changes I might put him on the hungry baby version of Aptamil to see if that satisfies him a bit more. maybe going longer between feeds will mean less discomfortA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hi everyone! :hello:
First of all, confession time - I have to admit to a bit of stalking! Now that my Weezl Hunt has brought me here (Hi Weezl! :hello:) I hope that I might be able to enlist the help of all of you. If you bear with me, I'll explain...
I want to do some research into healthy pregnancy (no, not yet but it's on the cards), particularly from a nutrition point of view. Weezl, you can see where this is going
Being that Weezl is a self-confessed stats geek, I figured that she may well have some useful numbers up her sleeve. But who knows, perhaps there are many 'Weezls' lurking on this thread whose brains I could pick?
My reasons are twofold - firstly the purely 'selfish' one of wanting to give my own kids the best start in life and secondly, to better understand pregnancy nutrition (and also deficiencies) in the developing world. More of this second one will be revealed in time
So if anyone has any useful info at all about nutrition in pregnancy and during breastfeeding, I'd be very grateful. Specific dietary requirements eg x amount of y a day but also more general knowledge you've gained from your own pregnancies would be great. That includes anything to do with cravings, going off some food altogether and any other food/nutritional gems you've discovered that I am unaware of as yet! Also any websites you may have used would be great, as would any advice from fellow vegetarians.
I'm thinking I'll start a separate thread for this but just wanted to post in here first in case there's one already on the go with all this kind of info in?
Thankyou for taking the time to read this, and for any help you may be able to provide xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Weezle, I have to list things over and over for them to sell, so well done on a fiver sale!
Bails, First pregnancy I ate healthily, second I vomited constantly and didn't eat till after 20 weeks, third I craved tinned tuna which is a big no no but the craving overcame my worries about mercury. Most important thing I found was to drink enough water.
DS1 is off school after he was up sick several times during the night so I think he has DS2's tummy bug and I gots the runs a bit too :rolleyes:0 -
hi bails
congrats on ur recent engagement
i'm probably not the best person on these things, my diet is crap & I developed gestational diabetes.
I was told fish oils r a good one to take from early pregnancy for brain development but that was lady in health food shop who guilt trippd me into buying them @ 7months.
dont forget foplic acid for at least 3 months before u conceive althou I only took it for 1 month before.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
