Filled in JSA forms online this morning, they have just called back and said that I am not entitled to ANYTHING!!! I burst into tears, and couldn't hear or talk properly, so the adviser says he will call me at 10am tomorrow.
Any ideas what could have gone wrong???

I know you have mentioned before that you have savings - could I ask if you have over £16000?Gone ... or have I?0

Sadly, no! I was given £3000 when I left, roughly £1000 of which has now gone on rent/clothes/other necessities of life that you need when you start from scratch.
And no, my recent alcohol budget has been from £100 my grandad gave me last Christmas that I was also given when I left!0 -
In that case, from what I can remember of your other posts I can only assume there has been a mistake. Just to double check, is the following correct?
* You live alone/ not with a partner
* Your savings are within the prescribed limits
* You are available for full time work
* You have not claimed ESA at the same time
* You have no other incomeGone ... or have I?0 -

What has gone on here is that maybe the wrong wording was used to describe something, or a form was lost/not filled in.
You will be entitled to something, the usual basics, because you have no income and aren't married/living with anybody or in a partnership. You are single and have no income.
Don't panic, this lot will sort out the right wording/form/situation.
I know sometimes in this world you are asked a question and in answering it you can give the wrong word and that causes them to tick the wrong box.
Calm down ... it'll be all right in a bit... these pros know their stuff.0 -
I think they have made a mistake, primarily because the person that calls you back to check your information is not usually trained to make that decision!
Try not to worry, if they still say the same thing when they call back write it down word for word (ask them to repeat the reason if need be) and then come on here and we'll tell you what to do next.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Thanks everyone. Goodness, its just going from bad to worse!
Have emailed the convent too, maybe they can help me a bit more if this is going to be a problem/take time?0 -

.
I agree wholeheartedly but would add neither are they authorised to give any indication of entitlement. when you are called back, insist they proceed with your claim.0 -
Thanks, I will see what they say. This is my worst nightmare - 17days ago I believed I was where I would live and die, now I can't see how I will even manage to feed and keep a roof over my head0
