DELL, more like HELL!

Options
I ordered a new monitor online on the 10th, the site stated 10 days for delivery. I'm now told I have to wait untill the 13th of October:mad: To top it all off they kept me on the phone for 2hrs trying to get through to customer services at 5p per minute being passed from department to department.

I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM DELL AGAIN, AND NEITHER WILL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS:mad:

Rant over:o

I have only used Dell once but they annoyed me a bit with the delivery of my computer.

I bought a computer from them which was delayed by 3 weeks so when they did call to arrange delivery I was in Prague at the time which I explained and asked if someone could call back in 4 days time when I get home then I could make sure I would take the day off work to be in.

After this I received a further 8 calls over the next couple of days to arrange delivery, can't remember how much it cost me but it cost a few quid on my mobile bill when I got home which annoyed me as I didn't mind the one call as they didn't know I was away but the further 7 took the mickey.

I should have just read around the Internet as to how appalling they are before placing my order:o I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I got mine a week earlier than the estimated delivery date. No problems at all, it was all too easy.

If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

  • If their customer service stinks that much, surely it should be:

    "DELL, more like SMELL!"

    Right?

My past three computers have been Dell brought direct. I have never had any problems. They have delivred what they stated on the day they stated. They also have been much better computers and cheaper than anyone else is offering.

just cancel your order and buy elsehwre - im sure places liek amazon are very competetive for prices and you know that there customer service and delivery are going to be more reliable.
  • Ive had 3 Dell computers in the last 6 years and all have been delivered on time. I used to wrk in a distribution warehouse foro them too and the amount of orders that are shipped daily is very high so as with a lot of companies there is going to be a few times where things go a bit wrong.

no one is perfect.... are they?

I didn't put in my post last night that the item I ordered was a sale item and there was a lot of demand for it which led to the 3 week delay but apart from the silly annoying phone calls they were fine.

I don't know if they still do it but the first time I brought from Dell I was slightly worried by having to answer a question saying I promoised not to use the Dell computer to build weapons of mass destruction.
